Great stay. Great location!
The Carlton Hotel is a beautifully decorated, nicely refurbished older hotel. Lovely furnishings throughout. Largish rooms. Very comfortable. Located in the center of town, there are several coffee houses, restaurants and a bakery very nearby. It was also priced lower than some other local hotels. Well worth a stay! !

Lovely and charming but slightly down at heels.
It’s a super lovely old-fashioned elegant hotel, slightly down at heels but still sparkling clean and trying. The staff is always friendly. This is my third time staying her during a road trip from northern to Southern California. The problems this time was 1) the bed felt too soft, 2) I couldn’t turn the heater off and it was too hot 71 degrees). So I had to open the window. 3) two of the four jets in the whirlpool bathtub didn’t work. 4) the arm chair I. The room was just too old. Looks nice but the seat was badly sagging and the back too. This place has so much charm and the staff is so nice, you want this place to be just a little bit better.

We have stayed at this property several times over the years. It was not as good as usual. Service is always great, but the rug in the room of dirty and the bed was not as comfortable. They changed the comforter, or actually did not have a cozy comfortable. Had to add a blanket. Two of the jets in the tub did not work. Over all, it was very nice.

A lovely stay with a beautiful esthetic and a wonderful room. A lot of hotels or inns have the same modern and boring look with room that are really just copied for other places, this place is unique and grand. For a stay in a truck stop town it is certainly a magnificent stay. If you like the old English style this place is for you.

The hotel staff is very unresponsive, the shower was not working and scolding hot water was coming out because the knob was broken and we couldn’t be moved or accommodated, the mirror in the shower wasn’t clean and one of the bed sheet was stained. Staff was never at the desk this includes mgmt to ever complain to and even though we complained the night we checked in, nobody followed up in the morning. Beautiful building but bad mgmt!!!

Love the old school feel of the property. They have recently changed ownership and will be making upgrades soon. The rooms are large and comfortable, loved the jacuzzi tub and shower, and the bakery next door has a delicious chocolate croissant. Lots to walk to from the property...looking forward to another visit soon.

The hotel is great except couldn’t get soap to wash our faces and no body wash in the shower. Front desk dug through a box under the front desk and found us 2 small bottles of body wash. I did have a small bar of soap in my overnight bag

Rooms and bathroom were big. The A/C did not work in our room so we opened the window but the freeway noise was a lot. Over all a very nice place to stay and we’ll be back again!!

Extremely disappointed with our stay. The in house restaurant and bar closed for refurbishment. If we had known this in advance we would have booked a different hotel. The carpet was stained, the toilet kept filling of its own accord, the jacuzzi bath only had one of four jets working. For the price we paid I would have expected complimentary water. Instead they were asking for $12 for two small bottles. The only positives were the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
