Great location, some quirks.

An unusual start when the guys checking us in told us they practiced for D Day on the local beaches, so ‘we could come and save you from the Germans’, more than slightly offensive. Hotel good location though, great rooms, but why all the plastic knives and forks in the breakfast buffet? Everything you used went straight in the bin. As it’s in an eco area, that could be improved on.

La Serena Inn was wonderful for our overnight stay in Morro Bay. The staff was inviting. The room was clean with a cute balcony. The beds were semi comfortable. But not a deal breaker. Breakfast wasnt all that. But again not a deal breaker. There are other options around town within walking distance. Overall stay was a 8 out of 10.

Great place to stay. Easy walk to the Embarcadero. The venue offers breakfast in the morning. Wish it began before 7:30. Some of us are early risers.

My family had a wonderful stay at the inn. Very walkable location, clean room, good breakfast and the vibe in Morro Bay is so much better than Pismo Beach.

Friendly front desk both check in and out, spacious room, great view and location. Only complaints were hair on the bathroom floor and towels. Also, the lady in the breakfast room was unfriendly... even my older kids didn't feel comfortable getting their own food and wanted us to help them out for fear of getting yelled at. I felt for the price, maybe breakfast options could have been a bit better as well. Other than that it was a solid place to stay.

I liked that it was within walking distance of the shops and restaurants. We did pay for an ocean view room, you had to go out on the patio to see a partial bay view. You couldn’t see the ocean from our room.

Great location and well kept property. Breakfast could use an upgrade. Only egg option is hard boiled and the presentation was poor. Eggs all has holes poked in them looking like they were about to hatch. No bacon or sausage options. Both mornings the juice containers were empty as well as coffee on day one. I witnessed another customer ask for more waffle batter and was told that it would take 30 minutes to make so she was not going to put more out. This was near the end of breakfast hours but she should have been aware of it running out and made it sooner.

All the new owners would like to do is complain about previous owners. Yet when i realized that i was put in a room next to a non stop barking dog becuase that guest booked prior to policy changes. The new staff did nothing to fix the problem and apparently if u book with Expedia u cant get a refund. Also beware of the pictures because half the rooms have a view of the back side of local liquor store dumpsters and zero coastal views. This place is not worth the price and there are many other options in morro with great service.

It is very well maintained property and the staff was super nice. We loved the breakfast, well decorated corridors and room. The room was very spacious with beautiful ocean views. I wish we would have stayed here longer. Will certainly recommend to my friends and colleagues.
