Petit Soleil is an absolute ten star gem in San Luis Obispo. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed, and I was delighted to receive a thoughtful room upgrade. The accommodations were impeccably clean and beautifully appointed, with décor that is both charming and sophisticated. Every corner of the property radiates warmth and character. The breakfast dining experience was exceptional. Petit Soleil truly captures the spirit of hospitality, and I look forward to my next visit.

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel, close enough to downtown SLO. Loved everything. Only one small fault: breakfast was included and super yummy, expect for the coffee: bitter and too acidic. My suggestion: upgrade to Bulletproof Coffee! Thank you!

This stay was such a fine. Go!! It was precious. The decor was so sweet. All newly renovated. Clean. Lots of places to sit and have a drink or work or eat breakfast. Breakfast……it was delicious! You order from a menu and it’s included in the price of your room. Delicious coffee. I can’t say enough about this place! The stuff was top shelf!!!

We loved our stay at Petit Soleil in San Luis Obispo. This quaint boutique hotel is full of charm and warmth. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they took excellent care of us throughout our visit. Our room was spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The daily breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh, thoughtfully prepared offerings that far exceeded the typical hotel breakfast. The included Aperitif hour in the afternoon was such a lovely touch—great wine, small bites, and a chance to unwind in the charming courtyard. The location is fantastic—within easy walking distance to some of SLO’s best restaurants and shops, yet tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and quiet at night. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in SLO. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience!

Honestly the best hotel stay we’ve had. The staff was so welcoming and the hotel is very cozy. The bed was so comfortable and a nice clean bathroom. There’s hors d’oeuvres a drink and an excellent breakfast all included and free parking which made the stay extra special. We will 100% come back to stay.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay! From start to finish, this hotel exceeded all expectations. The included breakfast was amazing—delicious, fresh, and a perfect way to start each day. We also loved the evening snacks and wine hour from 5–6pm, which added such a special touch. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. A huge thank you to Ellie, Dante, and Julianne—you made us feel right at home. Our room was outstanding. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom products were top-notch—honestly, the best lotion I’ve ever used. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

We had an overall good stay, and the staff was friendly, but for the price point, we expected better value. The room felt a bit outdated (e.g., a leaking toilet) and lacked some basic amenities like a tea kettle or coffee machine, which are usually standard at this level. Additionally, noise from the room above—especially footsteps—was surprisingly noticeable and disrupted the quiet we were hoping for. The hotel has potential, but a few upgrades and more attention to detail would go a long way in justifying the rate compared to other options in the area.
