This was my and my wifes first time visiting Balize. we have traveled to many Islands, and we usually don't go back to the same destination, but Belize will be a return trip for sure. specifically Caribbean Villas. the property is absolutely beautiful with a layed back, chill vibe. the staff at the villas and beach bar were so friendly without feeling fake. they joked with us, laughed with us, and made everyone feel like you're hanging out at your local spot. the drinks and food were great. the kitchen is small for the amount of seating at the restaurant, so food does take a little while to come out, but is better than expected for a hotel beach bar. remember have a little patience, your on island time. the beach was raked clean every morning and afternoon. the pool decks were a little worn out, so water shoes or slides are a good idea. no one wants a splinter on vacation. it is probably on their list for repairs. we stayed in a 3 bedroom villa for the first two nights and there was plenty of room for a family or group of 5-7, then we moved to one of the single rooms and it was plenty spacious for me and my wife. one thing I always complain about is water pressure... not here, great water pressure, and as hot as you can handle. there's a new supermarket right next door, and plenty of places within walking distance for food and fun, and if you rent a golf cart you can check out the whole island ( highly recommended ). we will be returning with our kids next winter.

The hotel is a decent hotel. Not the best but definitely not the worst. The food was lacking, but that’s what we found in all of San Pedro. The live bands that play late into the night could go away. It’s very hard to relax and sleep when the music is so freaking loud.

The complex had a peaceful ambiance with well maintained rooms, beach, pools and grounds. The large palapa had the feel of the corner pub with a bar and restaurant where coffee was waiting at 6 am. We arrived in time to watch one of the semi-finals for the Super Bowl with neighbors in attendance. Whether it was the front desk, grounds maintenance, security or the palapas staff everyone was friendly and helpful. Our villa was comfortable with a kitchen, sitting area, king size bed and front deck.

Very conveniently located cute resort with a dock for easy pickup for marine adventures. The food and drinks at the beach bar are great and the staff is very nice. Only small negative point: the bedroom walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours.

Perfectly adequate!

Lovely place on the beach. Showing its age a bit, but perfectly adequate. Very friendly, helpful staff. Room sparsely furnished, no chairs for the desk, limited room in bathroom for stuff. Decent restaurant and close to town. Lots of live bands that don’t play too late. Seems to be a great place for the older crowd of which we fit in. Our king bed was actually two twins put together and you could feel the ridge between the two beds. For the price this was a great place. Balcony looks onto the ocean.

First Time Belize Travelers

The place was right on the beach. It has 2 pools, both cleaned daily. The beach is also cleaned daily, and walks right into the water. There is a beach bar and restraint on site, so very convenient. They play live music every other day(this may be bothersome for some as you can hear it from your room, but it never bothered us, we were able to relax and fall asleep no matter the noise level) The rooms are clean and well kept and the bed was comfortable. This is an older hotel, most in the area are, but it has been well maintained. The photos on hotels.com were accurate. The location was excellect. There is a coffee shop across the street, and they have lots of options to choose from coffee, latte, iced coffee, tea, smoothies, etc. There is plenty of parking onsite at the hotel for your golf cart as well. We had a great time in San Pedro, if you want a great Dive Place check out Island Divers at the Corona DelMar hotel, those guys were excellent! It was just me and my husband this trip, but we plan on coming back with our children, and we would be happy to stay at this hotel again. It was perfect for us and has everything you need. I hope this helps for anyone looking for a good place to stay. Oh and the price was amazing…you really can’t beat it
