Never heard of soto grande before although we live in Spain. What a wonderful surprise the whole development and hotel is. Upon entering the room is was a wow. With some Spanish quirkiness.

Best hotel in the area
The hotel is directly on the marina with a distant view of Gibraltar. The hotel and surrounding area were so nice, we stayed extra nights. I definitely recommend the rooms with a view to the marina. The rooms are set up such that the shower and the toilet are in separate rooms each (the room with the toilet also has a bidet) which are facing each other and have a glass door. The sink is continuous with the bedroom. Next to the bedroom is a sitting area with a large window. The bedrooms are fitted with books and designed to feel comfortable for a longer stay. The rooms were not in bad condition, but could use just a little bit of attention. There was decent selection for the buffet breakfast which included fish, a variety of cheeses, some fruit, eggs, muffins, and cereal. Indoor and outdoor seating is available with outdoor seating facing the marina and the view of Gibraltar. The hotel has an elevator and also offers free bicycle rental. Service was not effusive, but the staff were very accommodating.
