Our San Sebastian "go to".

We live in France this hotel is perfectly located when we are traveling to and fro Spain or Portugal. Very friendly, professional staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Bar, restaurant and great parking. Good breakfasts.

Review of Hotel Leonardo, San Sebastián (April 2025) I stayed at Hotel Leonardo in San Sebastián for 7 days in April 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, yet just minutes away from the city center and the charming old town, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. One of the biggest conveniences was the bus stop right in front of the hotel, served by Bus 19 and Bus 45, running at regular intervals (15 and 30 minutes respectively). This made getting around the city incredibly easy. The reception staff were exceptional—extremely helpful and always courteous. Their warm hospitality added a lot to the overall experience. Breakfast was another highlight. For €15, the buffet-style spread was excellent and absolutely worth it. A great way to start the day. Parking was also very convenient. Although the hotel offers paid parking, it was free during my stay—perhaps because it was off-season. There was also plenty of street parking available nearby. The room itself was clean, bright, and spacious, with a modern ensuite bathroom and a generously sized shower box. I definitely recommend Hotel Leonardo and would happily stay here again if I’m ever back in San Sebastián.

Loving the rooftop pool

Great two night stay in San Seb, good start to our tour. Hotel was super comfortable, with roof top pool and bar super cool for chilling after a days sightseeing. Very good breakfast. Bus stop outside the hotel takes you into the city, it is also walkable

A little out of town, around 30 minute walk to La Concha. But a regular bus service right outside the hotel. Being close to the edge of town it was also an excellent base for touring the area. Also parking was no problem and the bar / restaurant was friendly and reasonably priced. The roof top pool was lovely.

The hotel was very good for the value. The rooms were nice and clean and the cleaning staff cleaned our rooms every day. The breakfast was ok, could do with a bit more selection. The location of the hotel isn't too close to the old town as it's 30 min walk, but there are buses that come regularly, which are very cheap.
