We always stay at Hampton when we travel. However, recently, I have begun to notice an unpleasant trend.
Has there recently been a company memo sent out to your locations that require the front desk staff NOT to smile and NOT to in anyway indicate that they are happy the customer is checking in??
Good Lord, is their job so miserable that they act like they have been on duty for 36 straight hours?
I am a business owner and I realize how hard it is to get decent employees. But geez, can’t they smile for at least the first 3 seconds after contact?

When someone finally showed up after waiting several minutes & calling “hello” she seemed unconcerned when I told her toilet in hall needed major attention-unflushed & then almost overflowed she didn’t seem too concerned. “I’m the only one here & I’ll get to it”. Second time staying here & it was great before. Great cookies!!
The property is just fine, we were scheduled for the check-in at 3pm but the room was not ready when we checked in at 2:55pm, the staff told us to contact us when the room is ready but until 5pm, I did not get any text or phone call. Some trash from the previous were still on the night stand when we got in the room. Beside those, everything else was fine. We were fine during the stay. Staff
Check in went well with help from Brandy.The bed in our room looked like someone was not trained well..the dust ruffle was hanging on floor.
Thought the storage in bath was very unique and great.The pull out shelves in bed area also great function. Breakfast was quite nice...red velvet waffles ...fun flavor.
The desk clerk was unfriendly. When she asked me questions she didn't listen to my answers and literally did the opposite of my answers. Then she booked me in a room that had not been cleaned yet. She seemed pre occupied and disinterested.
Of the six hotels that we stayed at during our vacation, this was the best hotel. Staff was great and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was cleaning the tables and restocking the food. Would recommend this hotel and if the opportunity arises would stay here again. Thank you to all of the staff for an excellent stay.
