The room was clean (to start), the beds comfortable, decor was meh, jacuzzi dirty & the breakfast was fine. However, the first morning the toilet was gurgling. After a shower, the tub began to fill with disgusting waste. We told the front desk staff who said a supervisor would come while we were gone. Upon return a couple hours later, no one had been there. Then a housekeeper came with a plunger. I told the front desk staff the plunger would not solve the problem. She said they would take care if it. We left for several more hours & when we came back, the bathroom had been cleaned. However, after we used the toilet, putrid sewage filled the tub again! I had already emailed the GM & the supervisor with images of the issue. We spoke to a new front desk staff who came to look at the problem & called supervisor. We were offered his plunging services & a $100 credit as it was “too late” (4pm) to call a plumber. We said we couldn’t stay in a room with sewage and no facilities, he said there was nothing they could do. He called the supervisor back, who I was told I was not allowed to speak to, and we were offered a refund for the 2nd night. We were 300 miles from home, so we asked for help to find another hotel. After 1 hour of not finding a vacancy, a plumber came. It got fixed, but was dirty. The staff spent maybe 30 seconds to wipe it down. It wasn’t clean! It felt as if we were a bother. We never received an apology from anyone & never heard from mgmt; they gave us 1/3 refund.
