If your looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay in Santa Barbara. This isn’t it. The location is convenient, the rooms were decent, but it was very noisy you could hear the people walking outside and taking, dragging luggage.You could even hear noise in the room above. We barely slept the first night. The only reason we slept the next night was from sleep deprivation I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.

The property itself is very nice. The rooms are on the smaller side, but well designed. It worked well for our family of 3 and a dog. The front desk staff were not the best though. They were unwelcoming and terse when we checked in, and then when we had a noise complaint btwn 10-11p for the room above, they were curt and did not appear to have taken any action to try to notify the room above, even though they said they had. We ended up knocking on the door of the room above to ask them to lessen their stomping, and they apologized and immediately stopped. We spoke to a manager the next day who was great and apologized, but we were very frustrated that we had to take matters into our own hands due to front desk staff not willing to follow their protocol for noise complaints and doing not even the bare minimum of their jobs. Although the property was nice and I thought good value, I don’t think I would stay here again due to the level of service.

This was a good experience the breakfast is decent. The gym is small, but it gets the job done. There was I think cranberry juice on the curtains room 202 but everything else was clean. This was an all a good experience.

The service was friendly and helpful and they made check in/out quick and easy. It is a short walk (10 minutes or less) from La Cumbre Plaza that has shops and restuaturants. The hotel has a mexican restauraunt right next to it that had delicious food. The rooms were very clean and It was cool that the hotel keeps a Santa Barbara aesthetic to its design. The pictures make it look like its a lot bigger than it actually is, its in a pretty tight spot, but overall very nice and would recommend for a weekend stay in Santa Barbara.

Dog policy
The fact that you can’t leave your dog unattended in your room at any point but yet this facility calls themselves a dog friendly hotel makes no sense. If you do choose to leave your dog, the hotel can charge you any amount up to 500.00 to their discretion. Be aware this hotel will take full advantage of this opportunity. Not fair at all, when you’re clearly booking a hotel to enjoy a vacation & might be going to enjoy a meal or a massage or just some quiet time where dogs are not allowed.
