Very nice staff and most importantly walkable to many of the SB spots on the beach. Comfy bed and quiet neighborhood. We missed the chance to swim in the heated poo. Bummer. Nice to have bike borrowing. Still, it is a bit dated. The grounds could use a bit of a spruce up - and the rooms need to be aired out some. The TV was quite old. It’s very nice of them to offer extras like a bottle of wine for VIP level but the wine quality was quite poor. For a bit more, it does go a long way. All in all, it was a fine stay.

The room was clean except for the carpet. As we don't wear shoes in our home (we leave them at the door), I wasn't used to a dirty carpet. The staff was wonderful, helpful, pleasant and available. The bathroom was quite clean, the location was convenient and quiet. When our flights were cancelled, the staff helped us extend our stay! We would come back. Thank you.

The room was clean. The staff very friendly. There was a terrible smell of drains coming from the sink waste. I mentioned there was a problem but it was not dealt with. Otherwise my stay was very good.

Very clean room, bathroom nice and updated. The A/C/ heating element was very noisy and blew cool air first, turned off then blew warm air. Continental breakfast was a good variety, and coffee was good. Very nice, cute motel and priced just right.

So-so stay @ Lavender. Positives: Price, location and convenience to the highways. That and the staff were friendly. Negatives: Tiny indoor breakfast area with dull and lackluster continental items. Coffee tasted like charred plastic cups.

Don’t believe positive reviews! We regretted staying there. Dated, motel-style architecture and furniture. Located on a busy street, hence sleeping with open windows was not an option. But the worst part, my husband was bitten by bed bugs. Advise to staff: don’t recommend your guests taking West Montecito street walking to downtown!

Staff was nice. Amenities were great. The queen mattress was horrible to sleep on and needs an upgrade. Bad sleep despite a full busy day. Please do better with your mattresses.
