I have always wanted to stay at Motel 6 in Santa Barbara. In many ways, it is a normal hotel, but the Retro look of the rooms and property drew me in. It did not disappoint. Whoever decorated this property was spot on. When I walked into my room, I felt like I had moved back to the 1960s. The details down to the refrigerator, the pictures on the wall, and the chair in the room were perfect. The room was clean, the towels were soft, and I got a good night's sleep. It would be perfect if you had a jacuzzi, but the price would have gone up. The staff at the front desk and the other employees were pleasant and helpful. Offering coffee at the front desk was a plus, too. Most waterfront attractions and restaurants were within walking distance. It was a great stay at a standard hotel with a twist and I would stay there again.
