Rooms clean and updated. Bathroom was updated, clean & had all needed toiletries. Property looked refreshed and decorated with string lights & fire pit with benches giving a modern vibe. Bed had a big stain on the footside. Located close to the freeway & very noisy & was challenging to fall asleep. No elevator, only stairs. Had kids and elderly in our group and getting them safe up and down lugging the luggage’s was a challenge in the rain. Breakfast was very limited to choose from and was dropped off at the door. For the price we paid and the noisy location and lack of elevators, we felt it wasn’t a good value for money.

It was a very busy weekend with lots of CHP in the hotel due to President Biden being in the area. Front desk clerks were noticeably frazzled or incompetent. Not friendly at all. Don’t know if that is par for the course in wine country but they seem to have a captive market.

We had to order our own breakfast Online.. We have received only half the order. It’s very frustrating. The signage to the place is hard to see from the road. You have to ask other hotel owners where their are situated.

The only flaw I think is the breakfast. They don’t have a lot of options to choose from. Always the choices. I hope they will improve this. But overall it was a pleasant stay for a quick 3D2N.

Hotel was clean and comfortable for a family of 4. The shower was a joke with so little pressure that could barely get the body warm on a cold evening. Complementary breakfast was a joke too limiting to one item - choice of one donut or cold boiled egg or oatmeal. They should have just said no breakfast instead. Too pricey for just an updated hotel.

Sideways Inn, Solvang - A Gem for Fitness Enthusiasts and Comfort Seekers I had an excellent stay at Sideways Inn in Solvang! One of the standout features for me was the gym—truly impressive for a hotel. The squat rack was a game-changer, and the facilities were well-maintained, making it a perfect spot to keep up with my fitness routine during my trip. Beyond the gym, the design of the inn is fantastic. It has a thoughtful and stylish vibe that immediately puts you at ease. My room was incredibly comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the place made it a joy to stay there.
