Our stay at the Viking Inn was amazing. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location of this Inn is walking distance to Solvang Village Center. I would definitely be returning and staying there again. The staff was also friendly and welcoming.

We loved how clean the room was and how easy it was to get in and out of the room. This inn was also a walking distance to the little village. We loved it here and plan to book here for future trips. Great service!!

Nicely decorated and clean rooms. Contactless check in and free parking. Cute outdoor seating area with fire pit, which we didn’t utilize however looked inviting. Loved that the room had a microwave and mini fridge, plus a table and chairs for eating or visiting. Water bottles and an electric kettle with hot tea and coffee packets were a nice touch. My only negative was that room 2 I was in was closest to the main road and there is a significant amount of traffic sounds. However on the flip side being so close to everything was amazing.

We had a great stay at the Viking Inn. Room 6 was a perfect little room. It's very simple, as in the room was small and had only the basics, but that is exactly what I want out of a "Roadside Motel." The room was very clean and the bed was COMFY. I will definitely be back again for another stay!!

Property was nice on the outside but I had a couple concerns. First, there was definitely black mold in the shower and the room continuously got stuffy. Even though it was quite cold we had to keep opening a window. Second, water pressure in the shower was terrible and took forever to rinse off shampoo. Lastly, mattress was very old and uncomfortable. Room otherwise was clean, but the black mold and old shower with little water pressure was definitely an issue.

Everyone was so warm and welcoming, truly going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. When I couldn’t reach the heater in my room, I called the front desk, and within two minutes, someone was there to help! Now that’s service! The desk attendant was the sweetest person, making me feel right at home. But what makes The Viking even better is its perfect location—just a short walk to the Solvang Marketplace, plus a convenience store right across the street in case you need anything. If you’re visiting Solvang, look no further—The Viking is THE place to stay! Great service, unbeatable location, and a team that truly cares. I’ll definitely be coming back!
