We had stayed at Villa Rosa before and loved the ambiance of the inn and were so excited to come back. We were given a room in an annex instead of the main building and it was horrible! There was no place to hang clothes or put suitcases, the shower was a jacuzzi tub with shower head in the middle of it (not acceptable for an elderly person), and there was a dirty diaper and adirty drink cup on the balcony. My husband went to the front desk and got us room in the main building and it was as cute and comfortable as it had been on our first visit to Villa Rosa. The moral of the story is to make sure you get a room in the mainbuilding.

This place was a lil outdated, but it also was cute. Parking would have been a lil challenging but we got luck and were able to get parking right in front of the building. The staff was very friendly. I can’t remember her name ( sorry) but she is the one that checked us in. She was super friendly and sweet. It was my first time in Santa Barbara so she was so nice to give me a pamphlet and suggested a couple of places with good life, music and good food.

Bang for the Buck

Nice hotel, convenient to the beach. Understaffed at check in, so there was a long line and it took about 1/2 hour. Room needs a hair dryer. Otherwise nice hotel. Would stay again.

The beach is across the street and State Street is a couple blocks away, so it is very convenient. However, the room we got was dirty. The bathtub was old and taped together. I did not want to step in it without my flip-flops. The window to get ventilation was broken, the handle was sticking out it was dirty. Under the bed, there was dust and old socks, and cobwebs around the room. The TV took forever to figure out how to work. The property had so many pretty flowers and the hot tub was nice. The staff was nice enough. But when I checked out they charged me more than Expedia quoted me. Apparently that happens a lot at that place. I would not stay there again.

Parking is available in 3 additional hotels and on the street. I was upgraded due to room issues but i have no complaints. Staff are very busy but will tend to your needs.

Lynnea front desk took such good care of daughter Riley and I. Due to minor accident she got us in early and a warm hug was so welcoming right from the start. Other staff valet Nate and Jonathon so professional and knowledgeable about thearea. We shared MANY laughs in our 3 day stay. The details and decor the atmosphere of the entire hotel and surrounding areas was more than we could ever ask for. We are returning for sure

A quite interesting inn. A bit old but pretty clean. Staff are nice though a lot of them don’t speak English which was not quite convenient for us. They are very friendly though.

The property is in a great location! It is good value. I would not consider what they offered to be a continental breakfast. I would have rates it a four had it not been for losing electricity on at 8:00am on the last day of my stay
