The staff was run by some 20-30 something year old men that used it as their personal party spot. When we needed help around 7-8pm, they saw us from outside ring the reception desk bell multiple times and never came inside. The room looked renovated at first, but was really falling apart. They patched holes with plastic coverings, trim pieces coming up off the floor and the shower leaked all over the bathroom due to the door seals not being installed properly. Loud with constant slamming doors and the room was tiny for two full beds. The locals were hanging around and wasn’t in the best area of Santa Cruz. Would NOT recommend. The photos make it look far nicer than it actually is.

The front desk man was so nice checking us in , he offered us free coffee or drinks that were available , the hotel was clean ,and the pool was clean and very nice ! the room was clean ! some of the fairest prices around We were able to see the lights of Santa Cruz beach board walk too ❤️❤️

It’s a nice little hotel. It was fairly empty when I was there so it was quiet that night but of course I was there after the big tourist season was over. The front staff was excellent.

Amazingly comfy bed! Great location for being close to water. The room was clean but the sink did have a weird odour but nothing horrendous, it was just noticed when washing our faces. And the shower leaked everywhere while you used it.

The guests above sounded like they were running a marathon and were very noisy well into the late evening, the caulking in the shower had mold (dark something around the tub, the toilet would run every 10-15 minutes and between all that I did not get a good night’s sleep, I went for breakfast and even drove 5 miles back going to tell the hotel staff of my concerns but the office was still closed at around 7:00am, so I went on my way. If I am in Santa Cruz again it won’t be one of my choices.
