It’s a modest hotel easy access to the beaches and restaurants as well as Praia shopping. However no lifts, Wi-Fi connection is poor and bathroom ventilation is noisy. The gym is next to the hotel but can be noisy in the morning. The swimming pool is out of service at the moment due to refurbishment.

This is a great hotel at which to spend a few days discovering Praia. Very walkable to transportation, the beach, some decent restaurants, and the sights. Though the breakfast buffet was consistently good, for any other meal lack of attention to service at the restaurant and bar meant an almost do-it-yourself experience. A late check out option (subject to room availability) was awesome for my 1 am flight! Very helpful front desk staff.

Small, clean, efficient rooms. Noise was a major issue as rooms have no noise insulation to stop sounds from hallways. We could hear conversations in the hallway crystal clearly and we lost sleep over this until all guests were asleep. Breakfast was nice. They are trying their best. Nice location close to bakery and mini market.

An Outstanding Stay with Truly Wonderful People! My stay at the Barceló Hotel was exceptional, thanks above all to its wonderful staff. Everyone was remarkably competent, professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. What made my experience especially memorable was the beautiful surprise they prepared for my birthday—a delicious cake accompanied by lovely drinks and heartfelt wishes. Such thoughtful gestures demonstrate that true hospitality comes from the heart. The team made me feel genuinely welcomed, appreciated, and cared for throughout my stay. Excellent service is important, but excellent people make all the difference. My sincere gratitude to the entire Barceló team for creating such a warm and unforgettable experience. Praia Confort is conveniently located right in the heart of the city, within a 5min walk of the beach and several restaurants. The room was on the small side, but the beautiful mountain views from the balcony made up for it. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and breakfast was decent. Unfortunately, the service was a bit of a mixed bag. I found the male staff friendly and helpful, while my interactions with the female staff were less welcoming. The bathroom was also quite small, and the soap supply was insufficient, I had to ask for more just to take a shower. The biggest downside was the Wi-Fi. I’m not sure if the connection was poor because I was staying on the 7th floor, but it worked much better in the lobby than in my room. Overall, the hotel’s central location, proximity to the beach, and mountain views were definite highlights. However, improvements to the Wi-Fi, bathroom amenities, and customer service would make the stay more enjoyable.

The room was very nice, but the TV never really worked the safe and the door going to the terrace also broken, but fixed the next day. The receptionists Bia and Zany were outstanding and the rest of the help were very nice, but could only do so much. Not mentionied is that the dining room is a very long flight of stairs with no grips down the outside and although I asked, on one occasion it didn't open although I had inquired beforehand. This important because the hotel is very far away from the town, one must call a cab and on the return sometimes they are not available. The swimming pools are very nice, filled with sea water that is constantly changed but it is two flights down. If It wasn't for the employees, my stay would have been unpleasant. The hotel lacks services that international travelers take for granted.
