Perfect place with the exception that staff don’t know how to prepare tea. You should put boiling water on the tea immediately. Don’t bring a tea bag and tepid water to the guest. Also have decaf coffee available as a substitute. This won’t bother anyone else but it bothered me. Otherwise- super.

Reception staff on arrival were excellent - friendly, welcoming. Parking attendant was wonderful - offered assistance in parking, directions to our venue, and advice on walking vs driving. This is an older building loaded with charm and character. Room was clean and well laid out, luggage carts were available. Adjoining restaurant was vibrant and open late. Loud as you enter reception but didn’t hear anything from our room. Food was good. We’d stay here again!

This is a charming hotel, the rooms are beautiful, the staff is attentive, the breakfasts are exceptional, and the hotel is located within walking distance of historic downtown attractions, However, an update of electrical in the rooms is badly needed. There are not enough outlets, and bedside electrical outlets are either nearly inaccessible behind the bed, or far away. If you stay here you had best bring one or two 10 to15 foot extension cord with plenty of outlets. Also, there needs to be room on the bedside tables for electronic equipment, not huge-based lamps. Lighting in the room is inadequate. The hotel has inadequate parking spaces; and the width of the spaces is too small, inviting guest cars to be dinged, scraped, or worse. This is especially true of the underground parking.

We had a great stay at Inn of the Governors. Staff were friendly and helpful, and you couldn’t ask for a better location to explore downtown Santa Fe without needing to get in the car!
