Historic, centrally located hotel

Pretty, historical hotel with a lot of character. Staffing and amenities feel a bit haphazard. It’s so close to a really great hotel, you find yourself frustrated they’re not trying harder. Bars/restaurants are very focused on a kind of conference clientele.

Loved this property - staff was well trained and kind. The restaurant and room service food was superb. The entire hotel was beautifully decorated, homey and clean. The hotel has obviously paid great attention to everything a guest might need. Highly recommend.

we were harassed by the crazy security guard for no reason. the couple that came to see us decided not to stay at la fonda for that reason. if i could of i would have checked out

Beautiful room, fantastic location

I was upgraded to a Terrace room and it was seriously one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in (and I have a high bar). Everything was perfectly appointed. Original New Mexican art on the walls. Bespoke furniture and textiles. Glassware, toiletries, all very nicely done. Will definitely stay here again.

Okay. Not great, not bad.

Our stay was okay. The hotel is aging and feels run down compared to our last stay 5 years ago. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are aged and hard. The room was clean but the finishes are aged and can only be cleaned so much. Front desk staff was kind and helpful. Bell Tower staff were kind and helpful. Valet/bus boy on arrival was great. Valet/bus boy on departure was rude.
