Room was clean, and charming. Plenty of lighting in bedroom and bathroom. Beds were comfortable, including the pillows. Loved the fireplace and outside area. Wished there was a magnifying mirror in bathroom. Hard to see to put on makeup from a distance. The shower faucets were a bit strange in using them. Wished we had more than 1 night. We didn't get to try breakfast as we left early. Would definitely come back here when we have more time.

The room was very comfortable and clean. I loved the fireplace and the small balcony. The breakfast was hot and nutritious. We could walk to shopping and local restaurants.

It was a very cute little room but the photo advertised had a fireplace in the room and ours did not. Also, there was only 1 window with shutters on it so the room was pretty dark, no natural light . It was however, very clean and room service did a great job each day while we were out exploring

STAY AWAY FROM ROOM 29

STAY AWAY FROM ROOM 29…I just stayed there the last couple days for a special engagement at the Lensic Theater and the overall experience was NOT GOOD! 1) Upon check in and I went to take my luggage to my room, Room 29. When I got to my assigned room and the door to my room was wide open and the fireplace was ignited. This creeped me out and caused me to feel unsafe. 2) then I found that the mini fridge in the room did not work, leading to $45 loss of food and beverage due to spoilage. 3) each time I used the shower the glass doors in the shower would not stay closed and kept sliding open. Not fun getting out of the shower into puddles of water. 4) the TV kept going out, telling me the HDMI couldn’t find the source. I was in town to watch my adult child perform at the Lensic Theater, which left me waiting while rehearsal was taking place. Usually I preoccupy myself by watching TV. With TV constantly going out made this option impossible. 5) The website said they had WiFi and although they do offer complimentary WiFi, the signal is extremely weak and basically non-functioning. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had and I personally work in hospitality. I really tossed the idea around to NOT write this review because as a hospitality worker I was personally embarrassed for the staff. However as a traveler I would not want anyone else to have the same experience I did.

We loved the spaciouness, comfort and decir of the room. We were able to hear quite a bit of noise from rooms downstairs(?), such as the tv and folks walking around. Also, housekeeping staff gathering just downstairs were a bit loud. Overall, we were quite satisfied however.

When we couldn't find the thermostat because we were cold, the young lady who answered the phone said look on the wall. Later we found there was a remote! Was very uncomfortably cold the first night. Positives: location good, cute rooms, nice lobby. Negatives: bed and pillows really uncomfortable, front desk staff were mixed - some polite and courteous, some (younger ones) lack basic customer service and courtesy skills.
