When a motel tacks on an extra price for "amenities," as the Sage did, including something as ubiquitous as Wi-Fi, it should be functional. It was not and I needed for it to be. I never got more than two bars of Wi-Fi in my room, and I was repeatedly disconnected from it. I went to the lobby twice and asked for them to fix this, but nothing changed. Also, one of the windows was so cloudy with muck that my view out of it was obscured. I photographed this, but apparently won't be able to share that photo in this space.

Good that property location was closer to downtown. Bad that at first the television didn't work at all. After it was fixed it would shut down when the overhead lights were turned off. Electrical outlets on one half of the room did not function at all as well as the lamps located there, etc. Faucets in the sink leaked profusely when used, soaking towels to stanch the leaks. There was no bottom or top sheet on one of the beds, just a mattress pad.

Some great front desk staff were very helpful, hotel was convenient to Santa Fe Plaza, but some upkeep still needs to be done: squeaky faucets, no sink stopper and more sound proofing needs to happen. Difficult to find the driveway and office when coming in at night...but the Sage green Chile burger and fries at the Social Restaurant was Excellent!

Had a fun bar with $5 margaritas and a live band, which really added to the value. It had a very nice breakfast with really good coffee and almond milk. It had a good variety. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms were smaller than I had pictured and it was just a basic motel room which was disappointing. There is lots to do around there though.

Never Ever going back after 3 times
I booked again for the 3rd attempt to get a decent room. We booked during the Covid and the room was a complete mess. I asked for a different room than we had the last time and they put us by the pool which again was not operational! This room was small and only had a desk chair for one other person to sit in! The A/C ran all night at 72 The door was cut out to swing past the toilet that was installed also! Not a lot of sound design planning went into a very poor upgrade of the rooms. When we left we tried the breakfast, it was cold and we had to sit outside. Not going back and for the price they charge, I could get the same at a Motel 6 and maybe even have a better room! Sorry Sage you dropped the ball on us

Reasonable rates, bar and restaurant right there (with live music!), comfy bed, excellent complimentary breakfast!, friendly and helpful staff. If you want a 5-star hotel for $400 a night, go for it. Me? I'll take the Sage.
