Cool place to stay. Gave 4 stars on confort due to bed being soft. Other than that it was an excellent hotel within walking distance to some great restaurants.

The hotel is nice and located conveniently near dining and shopping; Our first room was a King but we couldn't use the tub and after asking the staff were moved to a different room with two queens, being told that nothing else was available. I also did not get a later check out than 12, after we spent and hour figuring it all out. I read the reviews and came to the conclusion that it totally depends what staff you get on how you are treated here; thats why the reviews vary. In the morning we had a different staff, Ashley, who was amazing! I told her the story and she told me she would have upgraded us; gave me a gift card for the restaurant next door and extended our check out time after talking to the manager. Those are the things that make me come back to a property. Lived the bed, the proximity and the history of the hotel; room can be hot, especially on higher floors. The addition of a fridge in the room would be nice! People complain about things being dated and the carpet, but this is a historic hotel, so just be aware! If you don't like that style, don't choose it.

The rooms are lovely as always. But #60 was SO noisy facing the street where morning deliveries are made, dumpsters are emptied and the train runs. (Ends midnight, starts 4am...) So I didn't sleep. Next time they told me to request a "quiet room"

I was barely greeted at the desk. They did let us check in a little early which we were grateful for. We stayed across the street in the cottages. There are no amenities to speak of for the price. The worst part was the heater didnt work and the room was freezing. I guess we should have know when we saw the space heater next to the door which barely made a difference. The bathroom never got warm and the marble floors didn't either.

Great stay. We stayed in the carriage house across street from main hotel. Likely because of where we stayed and our schedule we did not really explore the historic building and amenities. Did get drink and then breakfast at Grossman's right next door. We enjoyed that. Visitor center, a coffee shop and a variety of restaurants are all walking distance.

Santa Rosa Historical Gem

The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was nice and spacious. The walls were thick so we weren’t disturbed by our neighbors. The view from our balcony was amazing and the staff at check in/out was friendly and attentive. The room was a little drafty and plugs were far away from the bed but the historic decor and vibes were great. It was the perfect mix of modern amenities and vintage decor.

A weekend in Santa Rosa

Our stay in the original hotel building was very comfortable. We appreciated that we could heat our room since the outside temperatures were cool. Being able to walk to excellent restaurants is a big plus for us.

The property was conveniently located in a historic district of Santa Rosa. There was an amazing coffee shop steps away and across the street. The service was good as well. The room we stayed in was considered an updated room. However, the carpet was well worn, the shower was very tight and a bit dingy. To top it off, when we returned to the room after being out and about for the day, we had ants in the room. The front desk gave me a can of Raid when I went to notify them.
