I picked this hotel near SCL airport specifically because they advertised a room with a queen bed—where I planned to sleep with my wife—and a sofa bed for our child. Upon arrival, they informed us we were being switched to a room with two twin beds due to some maintenance issue. When we objected (since the queen bed was the main reason we booked the hotel), they claimed they’ve never had queen beds in the entire property.
I showed them my reservation on Expedia, but their response was that it was from an “external page,” and they weren’t responsible for what was published there. Needless to say, I was upset at the lies, the rudeness, and the blatant audacity of the front desk staff. Still, it was clear nothing would change, so I decided to escalate the complaint with Expedia.
Interestingly, I later found that their own website also advertises rooms with queen beds. Go figure.
On a positive note, the rest of the staff was kind, the food was good, and the rooms were comfortable—aside from the small beds.
