Sweet and sour

Almost everything in this hotel is excellent. The staff is very kind and helphul. The facilities are well kept. The rooms are clean and very spacious. The location is great, very close to the colonial zone and right on the malecon. The viwe from our room was breathtaking. However, there is a deal breaker for us. The AC unit sound is deafening. Like a freight train. We asked the front desk about this and they gave us another room, which was just the same. Fortunately for us, my wife came out with the idea of cooling the room during the day and turning it off at around midnight. This work ok. We beleive, because this is an old hotel, the AC units need to be replaced. But, in a hotel this big, that task, we understand is complicated. So, if you don't mind the noise, this is a place that you woud enjoy.

Good Hotel

It's a nice hotel, but it's showing its age and requires some deep maintenance, or even better, some upgrades. It's well situated. Rooms are spacious, and service is really good. Personnel is really nice and friendly.

Recepcion kind, next day I had issues with my room card. Had to go twice from the 20th floor. Than finally I got one that worked for the room but did not work anymore for the lounge. I missed a smile at the reception.

Bridal getting ready had no proper AC . They said it was because of the amount of people but they have those rooms primarily for brides to get ready. Did not try to solve the issue and kept blaming us for the use of equipment like blow dryers. Tried to get a robe for my elderly grandmother and was denied because they are only reserved for premium rooms.
