Good things first: the views were breathtaking, and the hotel itself was beautiful, especially the cave room (although it was a bit dark). I loved the pool area - it was small but usually quiet and uncrowded, which made it very relaxing. Location was good, very walkable and easy to reach the town area, but not overrun by tourists.
Unfortunately, we did encounter some issues. At checkout, we were charged for minibar items we never consumed. During our entire stay, we only had one bottle of water, but the maid documented chips and several beverages as taken. Despite the receptionist efforts to find a fair solution, management did not budge, and we were forced to pay around 15€ for items we didn’t use. We understand that mistakes happen but this situation left a sour aftertaste at the end of our trip.
One night, the electricity went out and an alarm sounded. Electricity was out for most of the night but available again by the morning. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but it did make for a stressful final night.
Breakfast was another disappointment. For a 4-star hotel, I expected more freshness and variety without extra charges (even cereal came at an additional cost).
Overall, while we had a wonderful time in Santorini and the hotel had some lovely aspects, these incidents made the stay significantly less enjoyable. It may have been a matter of bad luck, but unfortunately, we would not return or recommend this hotel.
