The house keeping staff needs to be retrained, as does at least one person at the front desk. My wife and I arrived a short while after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2025. We were assigned a King Deluxe room on the 2nd floor. The bathroom wall along the tub was replete with mold. We complained about the mold and we were given a King Deluxe room on the 2nd floor. That room had a similar problem, although less mold. When I complained about it and asked for a room that did not have a mold problem, I was told by a female (short brown-black hair) at the front desk that there were no more rooms available & that it was an old hotel so things like that should be expected. She also said that she has first seen the room and it wasn't so bad - that she is allergic to mold and would have had a reaction if it was a real problem. She said she had no reaction. I stated that regardless of whether the hotel is old or not, it should not have a mold issue, that it was a real problem, and that if she would get me some Clorox and a scrub brush, I would take care of the problem. I was told that a maintenance person would be sent to the room to take care of the issue. The maintenance person arrived about 1/2 hour later and remedied the problem with bleach, as I requested. The problem was bad enough that it took him 1/2 hour to scrub away the mold. I told the same female at the front desk about this. There was no apology and nothing offered for the inconvenience. Very diasappointing!
