Property was like walking into a time warp to the past. Parking was not good, not enough spaces. Walking to shops in town was good. Need to check the air-conditioner filters as ours was filty!

Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious breakfast ($10/each). Comfortable bed. Lovely historic setting. Easily walkable to Broadway and Congress Park. Only missed out on 5 stars because the shower could have been hotter (it was still plenty warm) and wish the AC had just a "fan" setting. Otherwise all great!

Really old and decrepit. Paper thin walls and windows so really noisy. We actually got a whole refund from the hotel through Expedia. We have stayed at much nicer places on Broadway in Saratoga Springs. The bar is nice, however, and the drinks are good.

No Hot Water

Our first morning, we awoke to no hot water! Reportedly, both of their water heaters failed on the same day, although I suspect that 1 of them had already failed and they had neglected to repair it, based on the general condition of the property. It does not appear to be well maintained. One of the finials on the curtain rod in our room was held on with blue painters tape. They offered us a free breakfast for having no hot water, but we already had breakfast plans elsewhere. Either way, that was insufficient compensation. Hot water was not available until later that afternoon. The bed was kind of saggy, and overall the hotel looked tired. I won’t stay here again.
