Charming Nest On The Lake
Charming little hotel right on Saratoga Lake. Format is an old-style "tavern on the bottom, small rooms above" configuration. The room was snug and outfitted in a clean, updated Colonial fashion. Didn't give 5 stars for service, not because it was bad, but it was essentially self-check and stay. Lovely to wake up to the lake outside our window. A couple of caveats that might affect your choice. The rooms are small (at least ours was), so don't plan on spreading your stuff out. If you can't navigate stairs alone or with luggage, ask for a room downstairs. Our room was right over the restaurant/tavern, which stays fairly busy (and noisy) until about 10 PM. We weren't bothered by it, but you might want to check ahead if you turn in early. We'd stay there again without hesitation if our travels take us to that part of the country again.

Beautiful inn right on the lake. Loved the convenience of coming & going with the code to the inn and room. Room was quaint and comfy. Views of the lake were beautiful. We went off season so many of the amenities were not available. We would love to come back in season as you can see how much fun it would be then.

Great place to stay steps from Lake Saratoga and about a half hour drive into Saratoga Springs. Plenty of dining options within a ten minute drive, including the on-site waterfront restaurant (dinner). Check in was smooth, although DIY, with good communication via email providing access codes. Clean comfortable room. Free coffee and snack bars. Didn't need so many pillows which took up precious room to store travel bags. Enjoyed the stay otherwise,

Check-in was by far the easiest ever. You receive an email with an access code for the inn and another for your room. Very convenient. The room was on the small side but very clean and the price was right. You are right on Saratoga lake so the view is beautiful. The only slight negative was that our room was right across the hall from the bar/restaurant which had musician with a loud amp. He did stop at 9:00 so it wasn’t too bad. Restaurant food and service was very good.

The nest - a place for birds of all feathers
The property was cozy and quaint - exactly what you would want with a romantic or relaxation gettaway from the big hotel chains. The restaurant had exceptional live music, interesting and friendly locals and great food and drink. The room was exceptionally well maintained and clean. Check in and out was easy. Have raved about it to our friends and we’ll stay again!

We had a very nice stay at the nest. We were in the off season so I'm sure it was quieter than the summer. The Saratoga room was clean and cozy. It took awhile for the water to get hot, but once it did there was plenty of it. The decor was nice throughout the entire place. The onsite restaurant was good and staff was friendly. I nice little getaway. We would stay there again.

Unaware there was a remote receptionist (AI?). It was dark when I arrived. No one was around outside and the house was completely empty. Eerie. Room was lovely. House is right next to a big boatyard and a restaurant belowmy room. Imagine it could be noisy in summer.

Nous n’avons jamais reçu les infos pour le code de notre porte. Nous sommes restés embarrés dehors à 22h00 le soir au froid, parce que personne nous a donné les instructions pour ouvrir la porte. Par contre l’endroit est super bien situé et la deco est formidable.

This would have been the perfect place to stay—cute room, nice little features, good location and view— except that it is DIRECTLY over the restaurant and bar, where loud live and recorded music on a Friday night kept us up long after we wanted to be sleeping, as we had an early start the next morning. It was a big annoyance.

I have an extensive list/letter that I intend to share with the owner, and know that it won’t fit here. Many of the listed amenities, restaurant hours, etc. were false. No bottles of water, no AC in rooms, kitchen closes at 9pm not 10pm, had to park quarter mile away or illegally to unload car both nights, the list keeps going. I knew my room was upstairs, but where are the stairs? No signs. No maps given. My room was 80 degrees BOTH nights! And after the parking debacle, I wasn’t going to ask for a thing. I was extremely frustrated. The place has serious potential but they’ve got their hands in too many different money making ploys, the overnight guests are neglected. My honest opinion. Last morning there, figured out my room hadn’t locked ANY of the times I’d left it. No instructions on how to do so! Again, I intend on emailing the owner. Too many issues to list.
