The staff was excellent. Very nice with lots of personality! However, the hotel experience was less than great. Our thermostat didn’t work the first night, which resulted in an extremely warm sleep. However was promptly changed once brought to the staffs attention. The continental breakfast was good, but because we showed up at 10:00 on Saturday (it was over at 10:30), we were told we couldn’t have anymore bacon because we were “late” and it was all gone. We requested a late checkout on Sunday (4 adults, 3 children and 1 infant between 2 rooms is a lot to juggle), and we were told we couldn’t have one because we weren’t members of the hotel. I’ve never encountered this before and thought it was odd and slightly off putting. The area of the hotel also seemed a little sketchy. Lots of late night activity happening and lots of “funny smells”. I probably won’t stay here ever again, but I’ve definitely had worse hotel experiences. (And a LOT better, too.)

I loved the breakfast … very well done and one of the guests tried to feed bacon through the toaster and nearly caused a fire .. they handled it well and didn’t make the guest feel uncomfortable

The staff were A1. Very engaging, pleasant and helpful. The hotel was spotless and seemed meticulous in care. The area of location is a bit noisy with a bar and train tracks next door.
