Renovated floors and rooms look great. AC wasn’t working, nor the fan, with the renovations so found the hotel noisy this time without the fan to drown it out. Not a big deal for one night but would want that changed for multiple nights.

Great room but sketchy feeling area

Our room was newly renovated very clean and the bed was very good. We had a view of the river which was amazing It was lacking towel racks which I assume is in the works. We had some construction noise but limited to 10-6 pm. We went to the Irish pub which was very run down. The surrounding area was sketchy.

I arrived at 4:30 and it took over an hour for the room to be ready. The area around the property ( the parking lot), the lobby are pretty grim and I wondered what I had gotten myself into. Luckily when I exited the elevator to my room floor and my room I was pleasantly surprised . The room could have had a nicer view (the parkade) but the room was nice, it was clean and the bed was comfy. I couldn't figure out how to make the room cooler than 27 degrees but I could have called the desk so that's on me. I found a spot in parking everytime I returned.

For the facility only- the shower needs a longer curtain. The water drain didn’t work as intended. The extra water all over the bathroom floor was a tripping hazzard. More places to hang a towel or clothes like suits or dresses. No luggage rack. (I could have asked for one.) For guests- Good food, friendly helpful staff. I got what was expected. Room was clean. I just didn’t enjoy parking there as I drive a big truck and it had just snowed a lot and a moving truck was blocking the parkade.
