I typically enjoy my stays at the Saskatoon Inn, but my recent visit was extremely disappointing. I arrived late Tuesday evening around 11:30 p.m. and was alarmed to see several extremely intoxicated individuals outside and in the lobby. I stayed in my car for several minutes because I didn’t feel safe entering. Thankfully, there was visible security.
That night, I couldn’t sleep until around 5 a.m. due to intoxicated people yelling, swearing, and roaming the halls. At one point around 4:30 a.m., it sounded like a fight was breaking out right outside my room. I did not feel safe.
Wednesday night was slightly better, but still noisy. I was only able to sleep out of sheer exhaustion from the night before.
Thursday night, around midnight, we were once again disturbed—this time by loud yelling and violent banging from the room below us. A man was shouting extremely inappropriate language and repeatedly kicking a door so hard it shook our room. This continued for close to an hour. It was deeply unsettling, and once again I did not feel safe or comfortable.
To add to it, the hallways were left with guests trash—including an uncooked pizza pop.
While I appreciate the presence of security, the environment felt chaotic and unsafe. I’ve always enjoyed this hotel, but this experience left me tired, uncomfortable, and on edge. I hope to see stricter enforcement of noise and conduct policies to ensure a safer and more peaceful environment for all guests.
