Stayed for a night in August. I was really surprised by the check in service. I understand that you need to show your ID when asked but I was shocked when I overheard that they would only accept specific kinds, they would not accept health cards, Indian Status Cards (plastic kind, even though it is government processed). I have a Quebec driver’s licence without my photo, it says it is valid without photo but it wasn’t accepted, I thought I would be screwed since I only had a health card and an Indian Status Card, the plastic one, but my health card was accepted. I had booked through hotels.com, and I knew I wouldn’t be reimbursed and so I was really nervous, but they accepted my health card. The check in had a very long line, and some people were turned away because they didn’t have the proper ID. There were many frustrated and angry people waiting. Like I said, I was really surprised, I have never stayed at a hotel where specific kinds of IDs were not accepted. I found this to be really strict. I would say the check in service was professional, but they were also rude. Checking out wasn’t quite as different. No warm hello or farewell. Air conditioner was really loud in the room and barely cooled the room. It’s a great area to stay, I’ll give it that but I would definitely not stay here again.
