Great room overlooking the Main Street. Easy to get in and out of the hotel. Parking right there and one of the most affordable parking close to the hotel. Staff very helpful. Perfect location downtown.

During my stay, the fire alarm went off loudly at 6AM and forced an evacuation, which was frightening and disrupted my sleep/the use of the room. I was only given $50. I requested a fairer compensation for the inconvenience, but I was ignored. I barely got any sleep and had to stand outside in the cold for a full hour before being able to enter my room again. It smelled like smoke everywhere afterwards due to the cause of the alarm: someone smoking a cigarette.

Great location, but there heavy construction noise taking place adjacent to our room. Bathroom fan did not work well. Staff was gracious and the location and walkability were very nice.

Alarm Alarm : No One On Site!

There was an issue with the fire alarm system. First the alarm went off in our room the first morning at 5:00am. You could not reach it and it blasted for 40 minutes. There is a number to call but NOONE is there on site. Someone had to drive in and see to it. That took 40 min. We were told it was a battery which was BS as batteries make annoying "chirp". This was a full scale alarm. Plus an alarm company was there when we got back from breakfast and all the alarms were replaced. The next night an alarm went off in an adjourning room at 2:30am. Same drill. 45 minutes for someone to come out and fix it. So obviously an issue. Had I know no one was on staff at the hotel I would have never booked in there. We have all stayed at places when people are loud, parties etc.....and the fact that no one was there on property to deal with it is a HUGE short coming. At $400 per night my expectation was different. I also tried to reach the manager several times with no return contact. Buy us dinner, comp one of the nites......do something. So that means I am left to become the person I don't want to be. Leaving a bad review. I will return to Sausalito....but not here. Shame because all the staff we met in person were great.

Check-in was easy and the manager was gracious and very helpful! Parking was reasonable and easily available. Room was spacious and well appointed. Bed was superb. Very comfortable. Definitely recommend as a must stay in Sausalito.
