The Lobby is great. Has a very nice atmosphere with live music and a gorgeous fireplace. Staff is very kind and professional. However, rooms are too small considering the kind of luggage that’s usually carried for winter sports. Also rooms are somehow noisy. The restaurant serves a good breakfast but they should improve the availability of all the dishes they offer. Some of those we wished to order were unavailable.

What a difference a day makes

When we arrived I was not on the best as there speared to be little snow,the room was too small and dark. They provided a lamp. The following day we skied the staff were great the bar and lounge perfect with great singer. I have decided to take my family back as is in a perfect position. The garden rooms need a light apart from that Great Hotel.

Some lovely staff, good location, a short walk to town. Bedrooms were small but functional, bathrooms a little tired. Was unable to stop room being too hot despite turning down radiators. Breakfast service was slow and random, much better to provide a buffet, or even just a self service coffee machine, it could take 20 mins to get a coffee in morning. We didn’t stay around the bar for the nightly karaoke style singer.

Great location fantastic staff very helpful . Rooms have been updated but could do with a little more updating maybe with the furniture .. beds were new and fabulous . Lounge area lovely and breakfast amazing choice ! Would definitely recommend and I will be back .. a great few days

Hotel was nice in a scenic location. We stayed for 1 night stop over in the summer season so was nice and quiet. The breakfast was small and not much choice. The only other thing was there was no air conditioning in the room as it was very hot in the summer months

The hotel has a good location right next to the city center. The staff is friendy and service minded. The rooms are however small like closets which made the stay uncomfortable.

Potential to be great but needs attention

Good points - the staff are amazing. Very kind, welcoming & helpful - good food at dinner in the restaurant - nice bar area and spa - good location close to town - shuttle bus to lift but can also walk there (approx 5 mins) Bad points: - our room on 2nd floor was far too hot. Even though we turned off all the radiators it was so hot it was difficult to sleep - beds so hard it is like sleeping on a board - breakfast needs improving - when fire is lit in the bar there is so much smoke that it is unpleasant to sit in. Rooms are very small but this wasn't an issue for us.

GOOD HOTEL EASY TO GET TO SKI SLOPES AND TOWN

AFTER BEING TOLD WE HAD NO BOOKING AND THAT THEY DONT DEAL WITH EXPEDIA WE WERE GIVEN A ROOM. THIS WAS AFTER A LONG DELAY AT GATWICK AIRPORT AND A TIRING DAY. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE IS CHECK WITH HOTEL TO CONFIRM BOOKING PERSONALLY BEFORE ARRIVING TO SAVE A GREAT DEAL OF STRESS.

Hotel Besson - made good by it's staff & spa

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly lady on reception who made us feel welcomed and gave us an intro into Sauze d'oulx as we were an early arrival so our room wasn't ready as it still needed cleaning. We got all our bits done, ski pass, hire etc sorted and made our way back to the hotel at around 16:00 - and room 210 awaited us. Unfortunately room 210 was very small (which the reception staff admitted to) and the bed barely managed to fit in the room, not something we were expecting from a 4* hotel. After the initial 'wow this is small' passed we noticed the floor was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned - especially as we found a pair of socks covered in dust by the bed as well as an assortment of food scraps. So we went to ask to be moved and were told by a separate receptionist that they had no other rooms, we would have to wait until tomorrow and only apologised about the cleanliness - didn't even offer to get it clean. The next day we did get moved to room 309, a much bigger room, suitable for the price we paid, however the floor again was a state - cleaning service needs improving. One of our party had a bad injury so was off the slopes for the duration of our stay. The receptionists were great offering help and the barman also was attentive with the daily ice. I presume it to be the hotel manager who was most helpful also in calling the loal trauma centre so we could get medical assistance. We only had 1 day in the spa, but wish we went in it more!!

Nice hotel, great staff...

Hotel is nice, just far enough away from the main town to be peaceful. Staff were great. The spa was good but there were occasions where there were too many noisy kids. The spa should be peaceful and there should be an age limit to avoid the noisy toddlers. Facilities were good.

Great Shuttle service to the slopes

Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the spa. Looked a little un-loved. The hotel had some corporate guests in, who had no care for other people in the hotel. One of the worst nights sleep ever. The staff at reception were very helpful.

Nothing "grand" but the price tag.

Nice from the outside, not so much from the inside. Hotel has nice potential, however, nobody seems to care. Rooms are dirty, staff not responsive (asked twice to vacuum the floor, nothing happened). Bathrooms totally not acceptable (original design from probably the 70's, no shower, no shower curtain for bathtub) considering the price they charge per night (we paid 285 Euro per night incl. breakfast for 2 persons).

We had a very pleasant stay. The personnel were very friendly and efficient. The rooms were a bit on the small side, but comfortable. The meals were all delicious. The spa was nice, too. On the whole, we would go back!

Watch out for tiny rooms!

Functional hotel but a tiny room with barely any floorspace (guessing that may be something to do with the Hotels.com rate we paid!). Annoying drip inside the wall was not fixed for our stay despite requests. Lobby area and restaurant were nice and the location ok - 15min walk to lifts - fine for me but less so for friends in ski boots!

Un albergo 4 stelle a 270 euro a notte che non ti sistema stanza dopo 7 ore di assenza salla stanza. Bagno vuoto senza vanity set. Neanche la macchina del caffe.

La struttura è gradevole e bella la locationo. Sul servizio meglio sorvolare . Avevamo la mezza pensione e ci hanno servito cibo chiaramente scaldato nel microonde e in parte freddo. Il personale era poco istruito e goffo nelle modalità con cui si muoveva. Infine, ed è la cosa peggiore, abbiamo scelto la strttura perchè aveva la spa ma ne sulle condizioni di acquisto ne alla reception dell'Hotel ci hanno detto che era a pagamento (50€). Quando abbiamo fatto notare la cosa ci hanno detto che era una novità e che non era riportata su Expedia.ma non si sono posti il problema ne di scusarsi ne di fare un gesto riparatore di qualsiasi natura. In trentino un acosa cosi non è neanche concepibile anch ein strtture con meno stelle
