I have never had an easier check in. Chris was amazing. He not only made you feel welcomed, he helped take our luggage to our room. The only reason I have this hotel a good is because the bar staff wasn’t very friendly.
The 17Hundred90 Inn and Restaurant is a quaint hotel that is walking distance to the waterfront and trolly hop-on-hop- off location. We also enjoyed the restaurant. The food was delicious.
We were in room 205. It was clean and comfortable, but the only window opened into the hallway. Looking at the fire escape map, it appeared that 4 of the 7 rooms on the second floor did not have windows with any view except the hallway. Obviously we kept the drapes closed which tended to make the room dark. When there were people walking through the hallway, you could hear them talking. The bathroom needed updating and the bathroom door rubbed against the floor. There was no housekeeping during our 3 night stay, although it was available upon request.
On the other hand, the location was convenient for anything you wanted to do in the historic district. Very walkable and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. The party areas of the city were close enough to enjoy without the added noise.
We did not have a car, so we don’t know about parking.
17Hundred90 is a small but delightful place to stay in the Savannah historic district. Well placed in a walkable area to experience Savannah. Owners and staff were helpful and friendly. And it has a cozy "Cheers" like pub to unwind in.
The check in experience was wonderful. Chris was great. Our room 207 was lovely and quaint. We dined at the 1790 restaurant downstairs - it was wonderful. Everything is easy - checkin/out, location, parking. Lovely tavern afterwards. We actually left something in the room; and were so impressed that housekeeping let Chris know, and he called us, so we could pick it up! Can’t say enough about the service and comfort. Will definitely return and recommend.
It was super charming and quaint. Everyone that helped us during our stay was super nice, especially Grumpy who went the extra mile to get us acquainted with everything, including parking. The bed was probably the most comfortable mattress and pillows I've EVER experienced! We didn't eat at the restaurant, but we went to the tavern across the street and it was super fun. Very small, lots of regulars, great drinks at very reasonable prices. I would definitely stay again!
We are rating it a four primarily for two reasons: Our room had no windows, and the tavern below our room was, according to the website, supposed to close down at 11:00 PM, but when we inquired after 11:00 were told it stays open to midnight on weekends. It was noisy. (Please update your website.) Otherwise, very nice. But make sure your room has windows when you book if that is important to you. The check-in service was first rate and there is parking on site for $15/day, as of 2025.They waved the parking fee since they had no room for us in the restaurant. Wasn't necessary, and was very nice. Fantastic neighborhood and cozy, lively neighborhood tavern on the first floor, as well as fancy restaurant. You can really feel the history.
It was a great stay. Conveniently located …saw a show at the Savannah civic center…
The historic district & parks are nice.
Will stay again when in Savannah!
This was our 3rd trip to Savannah, but our 1st time staying at this property. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location in the historic district was perfect with walkability to the riverfront, Forsyth Park, and all areas in between, and we loved the restaurant/bar in the main building. The accommodations could use a little maintenance. The bathroom was modern, large, and very clean, but not having a fan/vent was causing some issues with the ceiling, and we had to leave the door open when showering; otherwise, it became very warm and steamy in the bathroom. The bedroom was spacious and there was ample storage for our belongings. The bed needed some work as the mattress sloped downward a bit and the bed frame was broken underneath. In spite of these few minor issues, we would definitely stay here again.
This is a fun historic property. The greeting committee was friendly and helpful. Bar staff was fine but less welcoming feeling. Location was fantastic. Property was clean and nicely decorated.
