17Hundred90 Inn – Savannah, Georgia (Room 204 Review)
We stayed at the 17Hundred90 Inn in Savannah, Georgia — room 204, one of the famously haunted rooms. The whole experience had this odd, nostalgic edge… like staying at your mother-in-law’s house with your girlfriend before you’re married. You know that slightly awkward, “should-I-be-here?” kind of feeling? That’s exactly the vibe.
The room itself feels old in a charming way — creaky floors, a shower that whistles like it’s calling ghosts to dinner, and that heavy, lived-in atmosphere that only a place from 1790 can have. You can tell keeping up a property like this takes serious effort, and honestly, it adds to the weirdness.
The caretakers were exceptionally courteous, polite, and genuinely took care of us. They hand you real metal keys to enter from the outside — totally old-school — which somehow makes the whole experience even better. We left our keys on the nightstand when we left, like travelers from another time.
If you’re a ghost hunter or just someone who likes feeling a little unsettled (in a good way), this is definitely your spot. You’ll get all the eerie energy you could want wrapped in Southern hospitality.
Now, the restaurant? That’s where the 17Hundred90 really shines. Service and the quality of the food.
