Sam at front desk was very nice. Cleaners barged into our room with their own key at 830am even though we had until 11am to check out. Spa was "out of order" Pool is very very small. Nothing to do in the area. Room cleanliness was mediocre.

Not enough towels.

We had three children and two adults. They would only give us three towels. The indoor pool was hot and had caterpillars all around it. We only got room service one day. We visit often to Richmond Hill and this is our second stay here. I don’t think we will stay here next time. The check in staff was very nice.

The room was clean and comfortable which is what everyone looks for in an overnight hotel stay. The breakfast was excellent!! Water was hot and pressure great. The only two issues were the toilet is one of those low 14” toilets that makes you feel like it’s for a child and the AC must have leaked because the rug around it was wet. We reported that to the desk. It was quiet being off the hiway and we slept well :)

Overall good hotel. Nothing spectacular but it was not old or gave off bad vibes. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was included. The staff were all friendly. Only issue we had is that we came back to the hotel late (after midnight) and parking was full. I might have taken the last spot. the next morning the entire lot was empty except for our car and 2 others. Would stay here again if I was in the area and needed a spend a night or two.

The Best Western Plus in Richmond Hill has a welcoming lobby and a good continental breakfast, and the rooms are spacious. That said, it’s definitely a budget hotel — my shower showed spray-painted patches from a renovation, the room didn’t feel especially clean, and the bedspreads had visible snags and scuffs. Fine for a quick stop, but don’t expect more than the basics.

Room is pretty clean (huge plus) but it does smell a little musty. The key cards have been reprogrammed already because they didn’t work on check in and one still doesn’t work. You can’t change the tv channel unless the remote is directly behind the tv. The window to the room (second floor) also opens and was difficult to shut. I normally wouldn’t write a review for these little things because it’s only a one night stay, but the door to the room has a large gap big enough to put a phone under (we tried) and that feels odd and unsafe. I don’t necessarily feel unsafe in the hotel but things happen in “safe” places too.
