We highly recommend this hotel
My wife and I drove from Florida to Connecticut and back to Florida. 10 different hotel chains, every one had maintenance issues except the Fairfield Inn. Can't say enough about this hotel Next Christmas' visit to Connecticut, we will find 10 Fairfield Inns.

Check in was excellent. Room was clean. Only issue is the bathroom floor tile chipped and cracked, carpet thread bare in places and tub worn through the porcelain but very clean which is why the average rating for property condition.

Check Your Credit Card For Excessive Charges
I reserved and paid for my room on hotels.com. When I got to the hotel checking in I got a notification from my credit card they charged me an additional amount just short of a C note This wasn't a security deposit, it was an additional charge and they couldn't tell me what it was The checkin area and hallway was hot as crap. The guy at the front desk was super nice. The negative rating on overall is because I'm having to spend time with my credit card to dispute the overcharge. This is NOT the first time the is place has done this, but it was the last. They did something similar 2 weeks ago. On Hotels.com they do warn you the hotel is going to charge you a charge above the hotel.com charge. Oh yeah pubic hairs on the bed sheets. I wasn't allowed to give exact amounts even though I provided receipts. I believe the mix up may have been what the hotel would've charged me if it didn't have hotel.coms mark up added in. Which is a good bit more.

Disappointed this trip.
Usually stay at this hotel but they put me in a below average room. Spots in the shower. Carpet not so good. Fairly dusty, which is someone else’s dead skin.
