It was not a good fit for disabled person. We had an ada room but we the bathroom was not equipped well. Lack of sufficient safety bars and tub/shower very slippery!

Done expect much.

I booked a river view room as part of an anniversary trip. Upon arrival, I was informed that I had been downgraded to a street view because they had overbooked. No manager came to speak with me, just the desk clerk that had no answersn even though she went into the office and spoke with someone. The whole experience was unprofessional on the part of management and demonstrated a complete lack of respect for the customer.

The service was fantastic and the food at Hughey’s was some of the best ever. Plan on going back next year. Highly recommend!!! Close to everything fun so you can walk.

I tried and tried to get a room at the River Street Inn all day a month ahead. It was worth checking over and over - I got the room of my choice at 3 that day after five times. It was well worth it - the hotel is delightful and in the middle of so much to do. The associated restaurants were so convenient when we checked in late. Staff was terrific. Walk in shower was fantastic. River view was mesmerizing. Valets were careful with our car. Location was perfect. Only criticism was that we did not have a desk to work on even tho there was room for one. I loved staying here. Thanks for a great experience.

Nice Location

If you are into staying at an older hotel this is fine. The charm was totally there. Was disappointed to not have nightstands. Not able to plug in a phone anywhere near our bed. Using a CPAP machine in this room was very difficult and took some rearranging of furniture and extension cords. Location of hotel was fantastic. My sister’s room was smaller and set up totally different (and had night stands). So know what you are getting ahead of time if you are able. All in all a cute place. Great free happy hour each night too.

Rooms has a nasty smell especially in the bathroom. Shower heads needs to be cleaned or replaced. The hotel is not sound proof so you hear literally everything in the hall and outside. Location is prime, walkable. Staff need to do better communicating during check-in. One of our rooms were ready until after 4pm. The little events around the hotel are nice but we did not use them.

Convenient

The stay was good. Good view of the river, convenient for food and shopping. One of the restaurants we went to at the hotel for breakfast was terribly slow(could have been they were understaffed just that morning I don't know). Staff at the hotel were great. Room was nice and clean, had no pictures in the room, kinda odd. They do have valet parking. You can also park yourself at the garage which is across the street, or try finding a place on the street. Beware though if you park on the street, you can park free from 8pm until 8am, but depending on which side of the street you're on you have to have your car moved by 3am on certain days for street sweeping and the signs that say this are not posted or as visible as the regular street parking signs. The valet guy told us we could park on the street overnight, but failed to mention the night where we parked was the night they did the sweeping, therefore we had a $40 parking ticket on the car when I went out the next morning. Other than that the stay was very good.

We initially thought we had booked a city view and the only view we had was an apparently historic wall view not a city view. It was very expensive per night without breakfast compared to hotels across the road which were 50% less including breakfast. There was no sitting room or bar area to sit and relax other than your room. Just a restaurant used by Joe blog the public. I could not recommend the hotel and certainly not value for money!!

Historic River Street Inn

We did a overnight stay at River Street Inn for my birthday, the location is perfect, the hotel is very quaint and unique, the staff is friendly and helpful, especially Bradley, he checked us in, I appreciated his welcoming personality and helpfulness. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

Everything was wonderful except our room, 231, was beautiful but right above a bar that had loud music until 2am…the hotel should not rent that room out…we had to turn the tv up really loud and use earplugs to be able to sleep, but it was not restful sleep
