The hotel rooms look nice and modern. A decent price as well. The location is superb, many places on my itinerary were closely enough to walk to, such as Vinnie van gogos, River street, City market, etc. Walkable city. Love to see it. The tv can stream your movies and stuff, the pool is not perfectly maintained but it does the job for a dip. Spa felt kinda “flat” when I went for a second soak. Beds were a little stiff. Pillows were too soft for side sleepers, and I had neck pain from sleeping, even when I forced myself to sleep on my back flat with a pillow to support my knees. The water in my room tasted earthy when I was brushing my teeth. While showering, there was some pinkish stuff that sat in the water afterward since it didn’t drain while showering. The sink also got clogged, and it took some effort to clean it so it can drain. Pink stuff again. Wasn’t from me, since it came up from the sink as well. Breakfast was decent. Options included oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles you make, fruits, cereal, yogurt and some bakery items. Seating can be difficult to find for our party of five since it was packed. I recommend coming early to secure a spot. I highly recommend parking your vehicle in a nearby parking garage. I parked at Liberty Parking Garage, but there is an even closer one. Much cheaper than the $40 per night. Overall, 2.5 stars. Doesn’t match 3 stars of which it is, but the service was great. Gym is decent! Beware bed bugs (brought one star down)

This property is right in the heart of downtown Savannah which makes it easily accessible. The check-in was not convenient. We got there at 1:30 and were told we could check in at 3:00. When we went back at 3:00, we were told because we were not Marriott Bonvoy members we would have to wait until 4:00 or we would paid $60.00 for early check-in. They offer free breakfast but it was so crowded and they ran out of coffee and other things, we could not have breakfast. Also, keep in mind of all of the extra hidden fees to the room; i.e occupancy sales tax, state occupancy tax, city fee, Georgia State hotel fee, all added onto the room night charge and valet of $40 per might $$$

The room was very comfortable and appreciated the separate toilet from shower, however the shower door allowed water to leak onto the floor mat. Appeared to be a design flaw for the door and not sealing properly. Also, there was a cool little reading corner with a chair near the window. However, the lamp behind the chair could not be plugged in because no outlets were anywhere near it. Learned from others their rooms were the same way.

Enjoyable Stay

An added stop to a longer trip, we chose Springhill Suites Savannah for our stay to explore the histric city. A nice location being located to the historic downtown. Our room was clean, comfortable and we enjoyed the fridge, micro and seating area. We appreciate the free WIFI.

I have stayed at several SpringHill Suites. The rooms here are very similar to the other properties. The hotel staff, front desk and breakfast, were just super: friendly, helpful, very pleasant. However, the property itself is a bit tired. It needs to be spruced up! Maybe it is very old . . . not sure. Would I stay there again? Absolutely! And, I realize that they cannot exactly control the parking situation, but $40.00 a day is a bit much.

Great stafff and clean hotel

Room was very clean. TV didn't work but the hotel sent someone up immediately and we found that it was just the batteries in the remote. He immediately changed the batteries and all was fine.
