Great host and terrific breakfast. The location faces Forsyth Park so it’s close enough to downtown but away from the tourism. It’s an old stately house with beautiful rooms. And free off-street parking which is hard to find. Love it.
There was no help with the bags. The a/c was only turned on when we arrived and never cooled until the next morning. The building is in bad disrepair. The TV didn't work or very little was available. Was not given wife info; she simply refused. Didn't stay for breakfast - just wanted to get out. Would not go back.
Staying at the inn was a unique and new experience for us. Our host Colleen was simply amazing. She made us feel at home and made us a delicious breakfast before we were on our way. She also was able to share some great stories with us about the history of her beautiful home. Would definitely love to return.
Needs a little bit of TLC to bring it back to its former grandeur

We arrived a little before 3pm and knocked, and banged on the door. Ringing the doorbell did no good either. Do not even consider this if you have any problems with stairs or have a lot of luggage to bring inside. Disaster.
We ended up going elsewhere and are out our payment.
Sorry, can't give this a good review. Very disappointed.
We were taken back in time. The house is so beautiful, our room so comfortable. The breakfast are amazing. The location is wonderful with the park right across the street and the local shuttle bus stops basically right in front of the house. So convenient. As wonderful as the house is, my favorite part of our stay was our hostess. She had the opportunity to join us at breakfast and was so interesting to talk to. We loved our visit to Savannah and our stay at The Confederate house. A true southern charm.
Beautiful historic inn with interesting hostess. Easily accessible to free shuttle, Excellent hearty southern breakfast. Bless your heart and visit a lovely part of the south.

Beautiful Ole Establishment
Staying there was quite lovely and peaceful. The lady of the house was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. We would stay there again. Beautiful ole establishment.
Colleen Williams provided true Southern hospitality, happy to talk about the property and her interesting life, and providing a hearty breakfast, and nice snacks in the sitting area upstairs outside the guest rooms.

The owner is a very lovely woman who really cares about her guests.
This beautiful home is perfectly situated across from Forsyth Park. River Street is about a mile away, so either a scenic walk or a quick trip on the free trolley will get you all around this enchanting town. Colleen, the owner, is charming and an excellent conversationalist. We met lovely guests and had relaxing breakfasts each morning, swapping stories and learning about the history of the area. We just loved this B&B. Colleen is also a great baker and cook--we were absolutely stuffed each morning, but found it hard to resist some of her freshly baked cakes set out for the guests to enjoy. We cannot wait to go back!
It was a great experience. If you want to experience southern charm in a beautiful and historic setting this is the place to stay in Savannah. The proprietor does an excellent job of making you feel welcome and important to her. Personally prepared for me one of the best breakfasts
I have had ever and she is a great story teller. This will be my place whenever visiting Savannah. Call before arriving so she can guide you there.
Colleen is a LOVELY hostess! Property could use a little TLC but location is great.

Great location on Forsyth Park. Huge home with only 3 full en-suite Bedrooms with full freshly cooked breakfast. ( be prepared to linger with owner Colleen, a sweet southern lady). Free Trolley right at the front steps will take you to all the Savannah Squares a venues. .
This property has Savannah charm right on Forsyth Park. The property owner was nice and very hospitable, she accommodated our early check-in since we were attending an early wedding, and she baked homemade cakes and breakfast. The room was quaint and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
One bathroom sink faucet needs resealed and a few bulbs burned out. Otherwise, beautiful property rebuilt after a fire. Nice to have the park across the street but traffic can be a bit loud. We stayed in President Davis room which looked out on the street. Other rooms may be quieter. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. Loved chatting with our hostess/owner. Coffee, cake and candy served in our guest lobby upstairs. There is no handicap access and the stairs are a bit steep. Would come again.
Excellent location Free Dot tram in front of building, takes you downtown and all around. Right across the street from beautiful Forsyth Park, you can sit on the porch with a cup of coffee or wine and watch the families with their dogs and kids strolling. Beautiful park. Coleen is a wonderful source of information and makes the best grits, biscuits and gravy, eggs and fruit! There are stairs into the building and to the rooms but not too bad, worth it comfortable beds and large rooms
