Anniversary trip
We enjoy staying at places with history and character. Marshall House was definitely a place that had both. The staff were all very nice and welcoming. The only negative thing I would say would be that the room had serveral areas where the paint was either peeling or the plaster was chipped. The antique tub was also in need of repair. Otherwise, the room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying at Marshall House in the future.

Beautiful, well-located, but noisy
Room 404 was noisy. Street noise. Neighboring room had TV on high from 10 pm to midnight. Staff alerted and didn’t end the situation. I slept poorly. Breakfast was very good, save the last day when something happened and they opened late, so we didn’t get to eat due to our travel schedule. Great entertainment. Loved breakfast attendant Wendy.

What you need to know
When I go to Savannah I always pick a different historical place each time and I choose this place this time for the historical factor. What might set this place apart from others is they have a great breakfast that is included, robes to wear ( I’m a robe girl ) I seen only older couples, no kids which made this place much quieter ( which I like ). The bed was comfy and the shower was hot. I noticed that only surface cleaning is done in room because I noticed dried spills on wall and dirty vent is shower ( I would have cleaned it if I could have reached it but I wasn’t tall enough ) the walk ways and elevator isn’t cleaned on a regular basis and front desk didn’t communicate well enough to let me know the details of their service. It is a nice historical place and perfect location to walk anywhere you might want to go.

From the moment we pulled up and encountered the valet, to the moment we checked out, everyone was warm & welcoming. Our room was excellent, quiet, and spacious. Marshall House was walkable to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. It'll be our "go to" hotel when we visit Savannah!

The staff were so kind and inviting. The building was in excellent condition for its age. I could tell the staff took great pride in it. We were there in December and the holiday decorations were beautiful. The location was central to so many things it was truly perfect. The only thing I would like to see is a coffee maker in each room so I can enjoy a cup in my PJ’s before going downstairs in front of the world;-). The area was a little loud at night but not so much I couldn’t fall asleep.
