For the money, and if you’re into mid-century kitsch, this place is fun. Windows do not stop traffic noise. Room was musty. No openable windows for fresh air. Confusing signs that were not consistent (I.e.parking was variously $155, $15.99 or $20). Fun space. Comfortable bed. Cute furniture. Doughnuts to die for.

Such a retro fun stay! Definitely a piece of nostalgia. We had such fun and enjoyed our stay. It’s an older preserved property. So if you’re expecting luxury don’t come. If you want to time hop to a nice clean motor lodge, this is for you! It brought back my childhood and I can’t wait to come back.

Cute retro hotel/motel. Good location, walkable to historic downtown Savannah, River Street, restaurants, etc. Staff was always available. Free donuts and coffee and seating in their check-in area.

Good location , friendly staff , cool vibe . My only issues was the we had to keep turning the AC down every few hrs because it kept defaulting to mid 70s we like it cooler to sleep . And they should fix the neon sign . Other then that it was nice place to stay

Property was super cute and loved the decor and the donuts and popcorn and drinks in the lobby. The Rc colas and moon pies in the room was adorable and a cute touch!! Rooms could use a deep clean and walls are kinda thin but overall enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

I absolutely loved the Retro look & feel of The Thunderbird Inn! The fresh popcorn & cold juice were delicious & the room was neat & clean. Young man at the front desk was very helpful; marked our map with all the places we wanted to visit & even cheered for us finding a geocache!

Cute place with strong cleaning fumes in the room
When we checked in there was a very strong cleaner smell ( like a strong bleach but staff says they don’t use bleach ). At any rate the strong cleaner smell made me cough all night with a scratchy throat .

The place is nice but the guy at the front desk was rude and not attentive. We had a toilet issue in our room and he said nobody can help because he was not there to do resiove that problem. That person never greet or smile to guests. He looked to be tired of this place.

Property wasn’t far from Enmarket Arena or downtown Savannah..literally around a mile to both! The decor was cute along with the 50’s style music in the background playing and the mini moon pies and RC Cola in your room ❤️ would definitely stay again!
