This hotel has a fantastic story behind its architecture and is pretty stunning- it’s a shame the history is not promoted more and another hotelier told us about it. Room and bathroom was clean, great shower! However, after cueing for a silly amount of time to check in, the room, although a great sea view, had a double in and not twin beds. Took 6 hours to convert and even then we had to help the member of staff and didn’t have the correct bedding. The staff member stated it would be sorted the next day- it wasn’t. We had to be ‘approved’ for an extra pillow, I think it was down to pure nagging the member of staff got them for us. Slept very well, the beds were comfy. Dispute saying we are a cashless hotel, they would only sell bingo tickets for cash and had to return a drink from the bar as something was up with the coke. On check out we felt staff were rude - no customer relations there at all-It’s such a shame, customer service needs improved greatly. A bin outside to put the cigarette ends in would help the overall look of the hotel and first impressions.
