We thoroughly recommend this hotel. The location is superb the rooms are comfortable and decorated to a high standard.All the staff are friendly and helpful. The meals are superb and the views from the dining room and lounge and bar are outstanding. We will definitely be returning.

The service from the main desk. Room 18 is directly over the kitchen with 2 noisy extractor fans operating until 21-30. Request to change rooms refused. Rest of staff were fine. Very disappointed went home early, also told no refund for unused night.

A great find. Lovely hotel with superb staff. Great location to explore Northumberland from. Don't be fooled by the rather bland looking exterior pictures. It's really very good.

The check-in and check-out was easy, the hotel staff were friendly, the room had a nice en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, the breakfast choice was good and hot food of good quality, the hotel provided free parking and it was nicely situated.

The room No 9 was exceptionally noisy from the fire door outside in corridor, reception staff not interested when it was brought to their attention. Bar and restaurant were heaving in the evening.. the place was overwhelmed with too many non residents and too many dogs.

Lovely hotel with great breakfast. Friendly staff at reception and in restaurant. Loses a point for the tiny room above the kitchen extractor fan and dripping shower! Didn't report it to be fair as only there for 2 nights and mostly outdoors. Recommend the Indian night in restaurant on Thursdays. Great value.

Very helpful booked through Expedia which I will never do again. I booked a non pet friendly room class or twin. When I spoke to the hotel we had been booked a pet friendly room. They said this is what Expedia do but they were really great and managed to get another room for us but we had to pay another £50 in future will book with the hotel.
