The room we had was not a typical Double Tree Room that we have stayed in before. It was a very old, musty room that didn’t smell great and was super boring and old. The room desperately needed updating. We felt like we were in a hotel from 1980. The shower wasn’t great either and it was a super long walk from the front desk. It was just a weird experience and not what we were expecting at all when we paid $250 for a night at the Double Tree.

Good place to stay

Nice place but slightly run down, don't expect the Ritz. With that expectation it is worth the stay. The gardens are beautiful. We stayed twice, once on the way to cruise and once on way back. The buffet in the morning is not included but worth it. The service at check in both times was great.

I got screwed

After a very long week of traveling. Showed up at 3:30 pm to find out we wouldn't have a room for at least another hour. Funny thing is they found a up graded room for $100 dollars more I took it because we had a 4 am flight the next morning but I was not happy about it.

We arrived after midnight and there was a long line of people waiting to get their rooms. Our rooms were quite far away and difficult to access. In the morning we tried to move our car to the room to load our luggage for the airport and discovered a parking lot that we had to pay for to get near our room. Very discouraging.

This is a very busy hotel and the staff at the check in were extremely hard working. Be ready for some chaos upon check in. There are also hidden fees for parking that seemed to be for no reason. It is a large hotel. That said, the rooms were spacious and quiet. We needed two rooms and the check in person did her best to get us close together. It is clear that everyone is working to accommodate guests.
