Nice, older, boutique hotel. Shows its history in a good and bad way. It’s like a step back in time which is very nice, but lacks the common amenities usually in more modern hotels. Beware the surrounding area: there appears to be a massive homelessness problem in Seattle. A 5 min walk around the area and we witnessed multiple altercations with homeless people at stores. It didn’t feel unsafe, as it was the morning and midday, but it’s something to be aware of. We had a fairly unpleasant experience with a front desk clerk who was rude to me when I requested assistance with my room key as it was no longer working in the elevator. Dressed in work out clothes and after being in the lobby for 15-20 min waiting for my Uber eats order to arrive, I couldn’t get up to my room on the 8th floor via the elevator as my key was not working. The front desk clerk refused to help with the key, despite giving my name, room number, etc; as I didn’t have photo id on me, given I was working out. She eventually called over the bellman/security guard (yes the hotel has security on site) and he allowed me access to the stairwell so I could walk up. Not sure how that was ok versus taking the elevator but sure. Not a big deal I took the extra exercise.

The property was great (friendly front desk, very helpful stewards, and wonderful shuttle to cruise ship). The only negative (and this is NOT the fault of Mayflower Park!) is that you have to be mindful of your surroundings when venturing out at night.

I loved the history of the hotel and the location was unbeatable. Within walking distance to great shops, restaurants and Pike Place Market. The staff was friendly and helped arrange transportation. The hotel is unique, a little dated but it was charming and safe. The rooms were a good size and quaint. We had a great stay!!

Great location. Comfortable bed and bedroom size. Fan didn’t work in bathroom. Would have thought there’d be a way to compost coffee grounds and such a waste with individual Starbucks coffee servings. Wouldn’t buy Starbucks again

Old but still OK. Would not come back.
The hotel is classic. It shows its a old hotel but its well-maintained. Would need a certain refresh to accommodate today’s requirements. For example, would be nice to have access to more than 2 electric outlets in the room, like usb outlets and connections close to the desk for laptop computer. Its clean but the wallpaper, decoration are worn off. Overall, for the price paid, we are a little disappointed.
