The hotel itself was fine, nice, clean, and had friendly staff. The area is rough, and I do not recommend staying in this area with children. There are a lot of homeless people and drug addicts, and getting to the light rail means wading through some unsafe areas.

Old world charm; exceptional theming

Loved this place, its a new favorite for Seattle. Incredible theming, this is not at all like staying in mall, the way some newer hotels can feel. bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was so much better than expected--I normally skip them, but we went every morning. Anyone complaining about the homeless people must not have been to many large cities. I was expecting something like downtown portland or san francisco, but it was completely fine. We even wandered through an overpass park at 11 at night, which is about a mile from the hotel. The location is exceptional. Right across the street from pioneer station for the train, several bus lines around the corner, never waited more than 3 minutes for an uber. One issue I had that will affect only a small handful of people: the gym is VERY hot. I could only run two miles before I had to quit. I am a long distance runner. But, as i said, this affects very few. Just something i would have liked to know.

The Arctic Club Hotel was an easy walk to the King Street Train Station. Fun and unique 1916 decor was throughout the hotel. The hotel had a wonderful healthy breakfast and French Press coffee in the room. The area is a little sad because of some empty lots near the hotel.

A Magical Staycation at the Arctic Club

My son and I stayed at the Arctic Club Hotel this past weekend while attending Monster Jam at Lumen Field, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the beauty, elegance, and rich history of the building—including its fascinating haunted history, which we loved learning about! Sharon went above and beyond to make our stay special—both before we arrived and during our visit. Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel like VIPs. She’s a true gem and a huge part of what made our stay so wonderful. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, from the grand historic details to the modern comforts. The beds? So incredibly comfortable—we slept like royalty. Even the bathroom amenities were impressive. It’s clear that every detail was chosen with care. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and such a nice touch. We also loved how close the hotel is to the light rail station, which made getting around the city super easy. Whether you’re doing a Seattle staycation like us or visiting from out of town, the location can’t be beat. You can hop on the light rail and explore the entire city with ease. One of our favorite parts? The views! Our room had an amazing view of the iconic Smith Tower and historic Pioneer Square—it felt like stepping back into Seattle’s golden era. We’re already planning our next visit.

The hotel is located conveniently between Pike Place Market and T Mobile Arena If you enjoy walking you can get to either location in 30 minutes or less. The staff at the Arctic Club are really nice and can provide good ideas for transportation. They suggested we take the Link light rail to the airport and it was convenient, budget friendly and we felt very safe using it. The beds at the hotel are comfy, the breakfast is great and there are even complimentary newspapers which this senior really appreciates.

There is a lot to like about this hotel- character, fantastic bar, good b’fast, fascinating history, and a closer location to the sports stadiums than most hotels. But i was really put off by my check in experience and a front desk clerk with a a lot of attitude and a chip on his shoulder. I had emailed in advance about requesting a quiet room (I’m a very light sleeper), and if possible an e (very soft ask). The response I got was they’d try to accommodate both. When i arrived, I was told there is a $25 charge for early checkin which wasn’t mentioned until then. Annoying. And the room is either available or it isn’t- what’s the justification for the undisclosed $25 fee? I paid the fee and asked for a quiet room. The room I was given was literarily on top of the elevator waiting area. I went right back down to the front desk to see if there was an alternative room available. The same clerk told me that room and elevator are not noisy (untrue) and said he had another room further from the elevator but it wouldn’t be more quiet. Then he said “And that’s it, you aren’t moving again.” I found the experience extremely off putting and frankly weird. The hotel is in need of updating. It’s dark and dreary and the rooms are not as large or nice as they appear on the website. I come to Seattle often and have some high character hotels I love (the Kimptons, the Mayflower, the Edgewater) and will go back to those but maybe get a drink at the fantastic Arctic Club bar.
