Very disappointed with the Cliff Castle Lodge. I have stayed in the Cliff Castle Casino. The rooms there are nicely decorated, updated and clean. The lodge property is very basis, very outdated, utilitarian. Old drapes falling of their track, must plug in the coffee maker either an outlet near the floor (no table) or in the bathroom, as outlets are few. The heating/cooling unit was very noisy, so we had to turn it off completely to sleep at night. No hair dryer...very basic. Most surprising? The rate at the Lodge was 2x the rate at the casino during our stay. The casino was sold out, so we ended up at the lodge. We will never return.

Hotel needs work. Disappointed. Nothing like the photos. Sketchy too. Said no dogs but neighbors had dogs. Would not stay there again.

The lodge is not at all connected to the casino it is down the hill and it looks abandoned. No lobby as you have to check in at the casino and drive back to the lodge. It was a little scary especially with my children.

Very Cool

Walk out patio to pool, free shuttle, ice machine, bars at the casino, food for the family & bowling! Johnny Rockets was so good. It’s a little outdoorsy vibe, which I liked. Saw people just solo, for business there. Camp Verde is a nice city. It’s only 90 min from Phoenix, 45 min to Sedona & Flagstaff. Perfect middle point. You don’t have to deal with snow & it’s cheaper than Sedona & Flagstaff.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. At a reasonable rate, the room was quite adequate and spotless. We stayed here for Valentine's Day weekend near gaming, great restaurants, and beautiful views in Sedona, plus a nice room to return to.

Casino was a plus…. Rooms at the Lodge were primitive (was told they were newly remodeled). Which meant new flooring … hair dryer as an electrical hazard. Room smelled
