There was no hot water the first morning! Showered in stone cold water. Apparently a problem for the whole floor. The problem was fixed for the second morning, but no offer of recompense!

Room was extremely hot with no AC. Had to open Velux window as it was only window in room. Could hear constant beeping form 6am onwards due to close proximity to whatever factory was nearby

Lovely hotel. You can tell it has just been refurbished, still smells new. Everything has been done to a high standard and with thought. The concept of the hotel is great. We loved the breakfast room. Very relaxed and chilled hotel. We stayed a Saturday night and our room was at the front so we did hear the music from the pub over the road but it didn’t spoil our sleep and didn’t go on too late. Would we book again… definitely. We also had the perfect arrival greeting from Bailey the Cocker Spainel.

overnight stop.

Very modern and clean. Breakfast was a little disappointing it has obviously to be set up beforehand, and therefore limited, as there was no staff around to service it. I would much prefer there to be a manned reception rather than having to reply on mobile phone and codes for access. Having said that I would be pleased to use it again and can recommend it.

Me and my husband stayed for 2 nights as we were going to York races for the day. It was perfect for us room was fabulous clean and modern and a great size. The self service check in was so easy and the self service breakfast was great. Limited free parking to the rear of the hotel was an added bonus. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again for the races next year 😊

Modern renovation, while retaining some original features (e.g. flagstone floor in cafe area). Clean and comfortable. Everything was self service so no staff on site (a bit impersonal but not really an issue). Definitely a good option for fellow solo visitors to the area.

The propeety was a convenient location within the town. The seoom waa modern, clean and eaay accessible. However the properry was located on a busy road within the town with queuing traffic right outsiode our room as well as a public footpath. There was no soundproofing against this with the windows being single glazed. With the windows closed, the room got very warm and stuffy.
