Wonderful hotel
Amazing hotel, enjoyed every moment there definitely would come back to stay there. The staff were very helpful and always friendly. The breakfast was very tasty. The room was very spacious and comfy. Overall an excellent stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

this hotel provides a wide city view, can see the sunrise and sunset, but when I stayed the weather was not supportive so it didn't work to see it. on top of the hotel there is a nice restaurant and bar, which also shows the city view from the window. The breakfast is quite varied and the food tastes not bad. this hotel lacks facilities and rooms that look old. The bathup water cap is come off so you cannot use the bathup. the towels were worn out, the pillowcases also looked worn and hairy. for the staff, the receptionist section is not friendly, in the restaurant there were only two employees, so when the fruit and drinks run out, they are not immediately refilled. the conclusion of my review, this hotel needs better maintenance so it will feel more comfortable. if the conditions do not change I will definitely not come back here again.

Apart from its proximity and location, I will not recommend nor will I stay at this hotel again. Towels had a very disgusting damp smell, linens (especially pillow cases) were not bright white and clean, the handheld shower was not working in room 602, lots of the kettles were broken, and overall, the hotel rooms need some serious cleaning and maintenance! One of the receptionists, Edo, was the most unhelpful front office receptionist I have ever met. Did not book my taxi correctly even though I have given him an hour notice! And when I asked for a spare room key, he advised straightaway that that was NOT possible. When you ask him to do stuff, the direct answer was NO! Asked a different receptionist, and they gave me a spare key asap. Not the service you would expect from a receptionist, which meant to be the front face of the hotel! Very disappointed in him. Overall, forget about this hotel if the price wasn’t heavily discounted!

Good location
Location was very good, right adjacent to small "mall" with various food options. Breakfast was well stocked with options. Not a place that foreigners are typically at. Had a problem in the room with a light that would not turn off. After maintenance spent 20 minutes working on it, I requested a new room, which took another 15 minutes to get ready. New room was nicer and cleaner than the old one. Pool area was great, used it twice with no other people in the pool, but staff around. Since it's on the rooftop, expect windy conditions.

The hotel is very old, mold everywhere. Furniture is chipping and old, many stains on marble, old bath towels, extremely small room, few stores and restaurants still open on connecting mall, staffs speak little English, when taking shower, water leak all over the floor, horrible Wifi. Ask receptionist if can change to another better condition room, same condition with the other one, ask receptionist about the condition, she said all rooms same condition, noisy from street. Will not recommend to others! Will never come back! This is the worst hotel I ever stay around the world with 3.5 stars rating.

Hotel was pretty good, but I'd forgotten that non European hotels still have quite a smoking culture. My room was on a smoking floor. Also the restaurant is divided into smoking & non smoking, but sitting in the non smoking section is not hugely different from sitting in the smoking section.

Stayed for one night. Deluxe Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Some broken amenities and fixtures (basin & bathroom). Food court in the same building that offered good variety. Sky Lounge offered nice view of posh residential areas. Overall pleased with the service and location.

Terrible experience
I was booking this hotel, but I have to cancel or change the date.I called the hotel reception. He agreed to change the date. When I arrive this hotel. They can't do it. Even though my booking is free cancellation, Because of that, I believed that my booking Date was already changed. Hotel refuse any responsibility for this matter. Only sorry.. It's terrible... pls don't book this hotel.

Close to the Food Arcade
The hotel is connected to Food Arcade building, we can find some restaurants overthere. I can find food at Bayleaf. The hotel room is big and has nice city view. Carpets in front of room should be renewed, many dirt spots on it.

The room size is ok, but cleanliness must be improved. The floor was dusty, especially at the corners. When AC is turned on, dust is flying all over the place. If there's a lock for the bathroom door it would be great too.

My stay was ok! The hotel is not so clean, but still ok. The staff is very friendly. The views are the best thing and the food is also quite good. However it is also very noisy and not so clean. The gym is a bad joke, just two machines.

All round good place to stay near the airport
Even though Arrived really early, the staff were kind enough to accommodate me really quickly. My room was lovely and the staff were extra helpful. The meals I had were generous and delicious. It was great to walk through to the food court next door and wander around the stalls set up along the middle. I picked up a few bargains and tried some tasty treats in a friendly atmosphere. I will stay at Grand Edge again.

My first visit to GrandEdge Hotel
The swimming pool is rather small but located at the rooftop with an amazing bird eye view on the city of Semarang and is surely the best place to have a Suntanned on a hotel! However, the breakfast was a disappointment. Some "nicer" food are not replenish after it is finished and we generally go for breakfast at ard 9am or 10am(who will go for such an early breakfast if it is meant to be a holiday trip where u can sleep longer) and very few choices of food. On the 3rd day, we are so sick of the food and the coconuts milk which are meant for the dessert is spoilt and turn sour! Nonetheless, we will still stay in the hotel again, considering the good price but will not take up the BREAKFAST!
