The carpets in the room and overall the hotel were extremely dirty. I felt like we were at a motel. We ended up loosing a night we’d already paid for in order to
Move to a safer neighborhood and cleaner hotel. The room is full of mirrors, inside the shower area, ceiling etc , gives you a felling like someone is constantly watching you.
For the amount charged per night, NOT WORTH IT. Everything in the room is too old, the room is poorly designed.
I believe they could have managed the space better.
Hotel was very quiet with a fun sort of style. Coffee maker leaked water, which I reported to the front desk, but it never got fixed.
Very close to Itaewon party center and “the hill.”
Overall, we were very happy with the place and would definitely stay there again.
We need to scan our room key card to use the elevator which add an additional layer of security for the hotel guests. Centralized control for all the lightings which is convenient. There is a digital scale in the bathroom and I believe it’s a air-purifier(as it’s in Korean language), those are extra amenities for guests that other hotels do not provide.
Staff was very helpful and nice. They clean your room every day. Highly recommended. Just down the street from a 7-11 if needed, a police station and the fire department. Your in good hands. Subway staion is also just down the street so conveniently placed
I love the settings of the hotel, good decor however ,my room wasn't well cleaned. The carpet was extremely dirty you could see that the moment you walk in,the room had a very bad smell, the bathroom floor was dirty, the lamps had finger prints..it just seemed like the house keeper only made the bed and thats it. You have to pay for breakfast & it was terrible , i couldn't eat anything on the plate as it was alĺ raw.
When I lived in South Korea and I would travel to Seoul I would always stay at one of 2 hotel with IP boutique being one of them. The rooms were so cute and modern. This time around I decided to upgrade to a king suite. I was not impressed chipped Chipped furniture and chipped paint on the walls and an old green rug that looks like it should have been replaced. The air conditioner didn’t work properly and when someone came to service it, he tried his best and said he would turn it up from the Main server. I had the temperature to cold, there is no way I should have been warm. I went to the front desk on two separate occasions and couldn’t find anyone to speak with. For the price of the rooms and no pool I would think the service and quality would be way better. A major facelift is required. I was very disappointed. I don’t see myself returning unless when I visit South Korea next summer it is the only hotel available in the area, or some improvements have been made. Great location, but other than that I’ve been to love motels that are better than this.
Although there were a few things that seemed off or simply dirty. I can say it was good enough to have had a roof under us for a day that was needed out of unexpectedly circumstances.
